What type of license must you have for an online business in Michigan? -

My husband and i want to start an online store and we are based out of Michigan. What kind of permits do I need from State of MI and how difficult is it to obtain them??Thanks!

Hi Toxic,You may want to register a business name. Look up the Michigan Secretary of State for the Coporations section. You may need a sales tax license, and a business licence. Many communities don t require a business license for a home based business with no walk in traffic. Some do. Check with your city business license office.Planning is key. I have all the price list of sending items, but I cant get to a post office... can I just stick the amount of stamps equivalent to the price for postage for the weight, on the packet, and just post it in a letter box?
