I think having a third party resource that could sit down with both of you and map out the statistics, costs etc to see if it really is a viable business. Is owning businesses in their blood? do they use drugs? What hours do they keep. Have they been fired from any jobs or kicked out of any apartments. Do they have insurance, clean and neat clothes and excellent personal hygiene? Are they healthy or sickly. Do they have transportation? Do you know them? Like them?
