How do I find legit wholesalers to start my business? -

I am interested in starting a Gift Basket business. I need to find a wholesaler who offers a large selection of gift ware and other such products. All of the sites I find require membership fees just to get a list of wholesalers. (I think those are scams). And the others require you to sign up by offering up your business info before they will let you see prices ect. I don t have any business info yet as I am just in the process of doing research. I can t do research if they won t even let me see the prices! How do companies like Party Packagers find their suppliers?
