I have the opportunity to start a business free of rent at age 15. It would be a ceramics painting party place, and I would be lent the money to start up. Do you think this would be too difficult at my age? What sort of tips would you have for someone who was starting their own business?
Wow! When you have your parents backing you at your age, you must be a very special person. They must see your ability and feel you are ready to start learning all aspects of running a business. What a great opportunity. As for tips: understand every aspect of your business including setting up a financial plan, how to give the best customer service and always look for new ways to expand and market your business. Decide where you want to be with the business in 1 year, 3 years and 5 years. A true entrepreneur has vision not just skill. Also, contact your local Small Business Administration (SBA). They have all types of workshops and information to help better your business.Good luck! I can t think of a better gift than the one your family is giving you.
You are able to become a confident sole-trader if you are able to take risks and if you are good at working independently, if you have a good feeling about starting the business up then go for it but you have to be aware that you are entitled to unlimited liability (meaning that if the business can t pay for itself, then you can have your personal possessions taken off of you) If you have the determination, belief and motivation, anything is possible! Good Luck!
while I started several biz before i was of legal age, they were watched over like a hawk byparents --with my blessing. This was ages before the iinternet.YOU cannot borrow money legally from anyone......and you may not make any agreementsor contracts with anyone for 3 more years.for now, stick to car washing, animal caring, errand running.
