Has anyone compiled their own Do-It-Yourself Instructions and or video? -

Have you submitted it to a website, or had it published in book form or cd/dvd?Was it a good seller or did it end up being a door stop?

Yes I have and its a very profitable business if you get it right! I signed up to http://www.theproductdeveloper.comThe site is for people in the UK who want to create videos and books based on their hobbies and the its helped me to produce and sell my own videos online and offline, at the moment every things going great! We make 8 - 12 sales a day and have very high profit margins and that s on just one of our DVDs. Also if you get a barcode on your video like I have you can sell it on Amazon and even through offline line wholesalers and distributors. It s hard work, but fun and rewarding work!

Not really, but if I ve found out something thats not in the manual, I write it down so that the next time somebody hits the wrong button I know how to fix it, my father was always pressing the wrong buttons on the remote control and it drove me spare, then I had to work out what he touched and how to fix it, one day I couldn t record anything on my video recorder for 3 days, he copped a bit of a tongue lashing though lol :)

I haven t. Sounds too complicated. I would love to make a cooking video though.

you need to find a clothing manufacturer. Most clothing manufacturer s only take large orders and require the company to have insurance. You also have to get a credit line with them.

My husband and I want to start a restaurant..? -

A restaurant that only serves Hamburger, Hot dogs and Pizza. But we want to make it a really fun environment. Like have live entertainment and on the weekends maybe have some go-go dancers....our town is in desperate need of a new restaurant and the most exciting one we have here is applebees (sad i know) So im wondering If anybody thinks this will be a good restaurant..Of course we will sell alcohol too. I think it s a great idea for several reasons. First off, keeping a simple menu keeps costs down and predictable. Second, customer s don t get a menu overload. Third live music is a great way to get people to come in, and it s a great way to help local bands.The keys I would stick to at all costs:High quality food (You have to considering the scope of the menu).Good pricesFamily friendly bandsThis is an excellent business model. The fact that you say applebees (ugh) is the best place really supports this.Don t get too crazy, just stick to good food, good prices, good music and you have a winning combination. I own a now successful carpet cleaning company, and what I did to get started was to hire a couple of students from the local university to telemarket, hang fliers on doors, and also to post frequent ads on craigslist. I would monitor their hours and commison and have them sign off on each others hour sheets when necessary. Also i would not pay them for their time spent passing out fliers if I did not recieve any buisness from the assigned area to prevent fraud if you will.

i plan to on buy a few things for inventory as my showcasing items and also have my books around for orders so im not worried about that. but i want to know how much i should spend on refreshments decorations(its a fall theme) i dont want to go overboard and lose out on money especially since its not going to be a really big party.

You could make some food for your party, there s lots of easy dip recipes. Get some crackers, chips and things like that, it shouldn t cost too much for your party. Try not to buy too much for your inventory in case it doesn t sell. You should get them to order from the catalogs, maybe print out some simple order forms. You could do a raffle for a gift basket.
