How to make a proposal? -

Im into this catering business with my best friend and he doesn t know how and neither have i made a proposal before.There is this trail catering for an office which we d like to enter but we don t have any idea how to make a proposal, we just need some guidelines on how to make one. i have searched the web however some of the templates confuse me and draw me further from what i need.We are trying to figure this one out instead of paying a marketing professional do to it for us. thanks.

I think that is a great idea! Good for you! Get your State business License, Your City license, and County if required in your area. I m assuming you will be traveling to their homes or nursing homes? You can call and see if there would be interest by talking the Nursing homes Staff and get permission to visit there. A lot of the elderly there wouldn t be able to travel, so I think this would be a wonderful chance for them to relive their memories! You can advertise on CL or Newspaper too. Or put a sign at the grocery store. Just be careful if you do go to homes and bring a friend with you, take precautions. Great idea and I hope you succeed!

Overtime, breaks, and Vacations? -

1. How much over time can an employer ask you to work on any given day in california? 2. what are the rules in regards to breaks since here where I work if you don t ask you could go the whole day without one other then lunch?3. can an employer denied your Vacation if they feel is necesary regardless of your situation such already having a flight pay for. for which you have no reimbursement by the airline.?

Sounds like you work for a crappy company. An employer can ask you to work as long as they feel, but they are required to increase your pay if you work more than 40 a week. You can deny the overtime since it was not what you had signed up for, but don t expect your manager to do you any favors afterwards.You are allowed one break a day, and that is lunch. Clearly bathroom privileges don t apply, take them as needed. If you need to get up and walk around or smoke a cigarette for 5 minutes, you will have to clear it with you manager.Lastly, if you are using company vacation time or paid time off, you have to clear the dates with your manager ahead of time. If you went ahead and bought tickets and then told him a few days before you left, that could be a problem. If you give your employer 2 weeks of notice before vacation leave, they shouldn t deny you unless everyone else in your office decided to request the same days off.

I m not self employed but a friend of mine is. In her work, the main issues are self assessment for tax and insurance. She is a riding instructor. I would imagine that a lot depends on what work your partner will be doing, but tax and insurance should be high up on his list.

If you don t have an Accountant you will miss out on allowances etc. The paperwork side of thinks is quite simple once you get into it - again, your Accountant will show you the easiest way to lay out your books. Just make sure that you have a systemin place to record receipts etc as they come in. Every piece of paperwork that you lose is money down the drain.
