What is an example of risk in a business world? -

Risks can come from uncertainty in financial markets, project failures, legal liabilities, credit risk, accidents, natural causes and disasters as well as deliberate attacks from an adversary. The risk that a company will not have adequate cash flow to meet its operating expenses. A company s risk is composed of financial risk, which is linked to debt, and risk, which is often linked to economic climate. If a company is entirely financed by equity, it would pose almost no financial risk, but, it would be susceptible to business risk or changes in the overall economic climate.

Does a cell phone company decide to spend $50,000,000 for all the towers it needs in order to expand their service to a new city? With no guarantee anyone in that town will buy that company s cell phones?

Investing alot in a fledgling company.

Where and how to get a DBA in New York State? -

I have been running a business for a while and recently merged with another company and I found out that I will get in a lot of financial trouble if I don t file for like a LLC, LTD, etc. But a friend told me that to get me by until I can get the money to get a license, I can file for a DBA in my state for my business. The one question is how and where to get this DBA?

Not with the Secretary of State.....Anyway, you have to file it with your County s registrar, for example, if you live in Los Angeles County, you would file it with the County of Los Angeles in Norwalk. Once you file it with the registrar s office, you will need to publish your fictitious business name in a newspaper for four consecutive weeks. At the end of the four weeks either you or the paper (most papers do this for you) need to certify it back to the county (just to prove that you ve met your printing requirements.)After that whole ordeal is done, then you can start your business account at a bank using your Proof of Publication :)Good luck!

You need to visit your Secretary of State s office. There is a form there with a fee, but it will make your company a legal DBA until your other business entity is established.

Can you start a internet business if your under 16? -

i want to sell computer parts? but can i do it legally?

Firstly it would help if you gave some information. Such as, what country are you in? What state or territory? Internet is international you know. Since you didnt say what country you are in I am guessing you must be American. You can sell legally. What you cannot do is enter into a contract. Including a business contract. That is going to get in your way of starting an internet business . At some point you would have to have your parents sign or at least co-sign something to become a real business. You also are going to run into tax law problems. There is a cutoff of about $600 for having to declare but that can be affected by state tax laws.

of course, there are plenty of webs to make a business. u can earn a lot of money if u had a stuff, there are many kind of online jobs. yes u can sell and buy products online too, there are webs for that too, u can find ur kind of buyer who can afford u price that u expect. that is legal too so u have no reason to worry.http://www.ebusiness-centre.com/

Starting a new business...a little long, but please help!? -

I was laid off from work 21.5 months ago; I did accounting and payroll, but have also worked in the administrative/clerical field.Since I have been unsuccessful in finding a new job, I thought that starting my own business might be the way to go. The only problem is, I cannot decide on what I should do; more importantly, I have no idea how or where to start.I am 33 years old, born, raised, and still reside in Sacramento, CA. I am married with three children ages 16, 13, and 10. I have always had a passion for just helping others. I have always had a special connection with children; I can relate to them and understand their needs. I have a tender heart for old people, disabled people, and animals. I have also always had a passion for music and dance, even though I can t sing or dance. Although I am shy, I love to be around people. I don t like doing the same thing everyday. I can work within a team as well as individually, but I much rather be alone only because I am a perfectionist and I feel my way is the right way and I can do it better. I am bossy but kind and gentle. I love giving advice to others, especially when it comes to children, love, marriage, and relationships, And I am NOT a creative thinker or a patient person unless its with children, old people, disabled people, or animals. With all that said, does anyone have any suggestions for me on what kind of business I should open?

None of us can tell you a direction where you will be most comfortably starting at the bottom of however by going to the library and checking out the reference desk in conversation with them they might know certain books guided toward your exact knowledge and back ground that will give you a certain place to start. Good luck.

How to start a small fingernail painting business? -

im going on 16 yrs old and am an excellent finger nail painter. i want to start a small buisness to make some money. how do i start? would people come? where to do this at? thank you!

Check the laws of your state, however, you will probably need a professional license (usually under the cosmetology board) to perform any nail services. Each state has its own requirements for licensing and education.Your closest SBA office (or SCORE office) can help you with the general questions about starting a business.
