I have been offered 4% commission on net sales of a specific product, is this standard or should I ask for a higher commission

Totally depends on what you re selling. In advertising, agencies typically make 15 to 20%. In retail stores, sometimes it s 2%. If you re looking to be a product rep, I d look for more toward 10% than 4%. But also if there s any sort of base pay involved than expect your commission to be lower.

My friend and I really want to earn money to save up on things we really like. I am a a fairly good artist, and I always wanted to create a comic book series. Female Tanning Salon Manager Possibly Spying on Employees Tanning? -

I work for a tanning salon in Michigan. The salon REQUIRES we tan a minimum of 2x per week or be terminated (which in it s self leads to be questioned of it s legality). Anyway...The tans are free, however I wasn t getting in my full two times per week (due to time constraints not because I don t like or want to tan). I have been reprimanded and told that if I don t fulfill my weekly quota one more time I will be fired. Now, for my two tans to count, I must now tan when the manager is there and then if I want to tan beyond that I am free to do so when ever I am not clocked in.I was told, by the only other employee, that the manager asked her to peek over the wall (we have floating walls) or under the door to check and see if I m in my bed really tanning . She has a criminal justice degree and was shocked she was even asked to do this...of course she said no! I have no proof but I think my manager is actually doing this but I have no way to prove it except the sworn statement of my co-worker. I ve considered writing on a piece of paper I know your watching and placing it on the floor for her to see each time I tan.
