How Can I Begin to Work From Home !? -

I have a 6 week old daughter .. And I prefer not puting her in daycare because i want to spend time with her .. But i know i need a job .. so iw ant to work from home so i was sondering if anyone could tell me how and where do i start is there any sites that can help .. and is there anyone out there that is working from home , how did u get started ..

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

It is sad to see the many scams that have appeared in response to your question.I honestly believe that you are trying to get a job at home so you can look after your child and yet earn some income for the family; but asking this question here gets you nothing but scams. The only way to get such a job is to possess skills that are relatively uncommon, and that a company will want to pay you for. You can look for advertisements that require your type of skill, and apply for the job with the condition that you need to work from home, but am willing to go to the office occasionally. That will be a better way that trying to get something from here.

I am working from home, but I own home based businesses, not a job working for someone else. www.alpineaccess.com has work at home jobs, but it s phone based work and won t be able to do it with the baby there. I ve got a baby too. It s very difficult to work from home with a baby. You can also try www.kgb.com or chacha.com, but they don t pay very well.If you want suggestions on home based businesses just email me.

Can i place media mail postage on a small flat rate box? -

Can I purchase and print media mail postage and use it on a Small Flat Rate USPS Box?And if so, would I have to cover up the Priority Mail that s on it?

I mail a lot of stuff, and my guess is that the USPS will not allow you to send that box anything other than Priority Mail. If you have some good tape, slit one corner and basically turn it inside out, then tape the corner back together. Then you can do whatever you want to with the box.

The small Flat Rate USPS box MUST be paid at the flat rate. You are not allowed to use it for other than Priority Mail. If you need to send something media mail, get a different kind of packaging.

Where online can i make a babysitting flyer? -

If I were you, you could use Microsoft Publisher; it makes it more customizable. If your computer doesn t have it, you can download Open Office. I m not sure if they have a publisher, but they probably do :) Hope this helps!

Planning to open my new online business. Need your tips on below? -

- I am planning to sell an online resume writing service and would like to accept payments online, how should I open a merchant account to accept online payments including paypal. - how can I make the service most convenient?- what s the best web hosting service and why? any rating? I like mocahost.com but I am still not sure. Thanks!

I can tell you have done some research into the needs of your new venture. Congratulations!I can highly recommend an online course, http://elearning.sitesell.com/bz.html, that takes you through the steps of starting a successful online business by the hand. Each week, a new section is covered by a real live Instructor that has a proven track record for online success. You will cover topics such as getting organic traffic to your new website, how to assure your website is SEO friendly, and best of all how to determine if there is demand for your site theme.Included in the course is a full year of hosting, a domain name of your choice, and all the tools required for online success. You have many choice ahead of you when starting an online business, and it s comforting to know that you can have a whole community of like-thinkers (over 75,000 world wide) backing you up.

-To open a merchant account you just go to http://www.paypal.com and follow their instructions. You will need a checking account to do this and (recommended) a credit card. This could be any credit card or even a good prepaid, such as:http://www.esuperfind.com/prepaidvisa.ph-To make the service most convenient you create an easy to navigate site that explains clearly what you do, how you do it, what your references are, including samples of your work etc.The best way is to took at competitors and see how they do it.-For a great web host I fully stand by http://www.3freedomainnames.computereweb because they are reliable, very cheap, they don t oversell and currently are the only one on the market to offer: multiple IP addresses, as well as unlimited everything.I have been using them for a long time for various businesses that just *cannot* go offline.

I like yahoo because it s cheap and super easy to set-up a simple site.I also like godaddy.com they are easy once you get used to them.

Can any actual accountants or CPAs tell me a little about your career lifestyle? -

I am an aspiring accountant and would like to know more about your hours, when your the busiest and if you truly like what you are doing? Do you work for a private firm or are you a public accountant? The more detail the better. I know my question is a bit broad but any help would be great for some more insight on the field. Thanks.

It varies a great deal. I can tell you that as the primary accountant for a small company I was responsible for all financial reporting. To do this, I made journal entries (many end of month), reconciled all GL accounts, prepared spreadsheets, worked with many softwares (GL, Investment, regulatory reporting, etc). There isn t a typical day, because it depends on time of month. As soon as the month starts, you get to work on the GL. This takes a week or so. Then in the middle of the month get the internal financials printed. Then prepare reports for bosses. If its quarter or year end, then the next step is to prepare regulatory reports. This is a tough challenge, but also somewhat enjoyable since you get a feeling of accomplishment. The hard parts are dealing with uncooperative coworkers. Also, trying to understand some complex regulations is a pain. You may also spend time dealing with banks, brokers, regulators, and auditors. There is required overtime when you projects due, especially the year end. Often vacations will have to be skipped.

Do you think the hookah bar industry will still be around in a few years? -

a friend of mine wants to open a hookah bar soon and wants to know if its a good investment at the moment. what does everyone think?

It depends on how ridiculous smoking bans become in the coming years. Just make sure your friend has a good CPA and a small business attorney. There is a lot of money and red tape involved in opening any type of establishment that sells alcohol and/or tobacco.
