Does anyone know the laws regarding giving free food samples? -

Hello. I am a vendor at a flea market in Florida. Does anyone know the laws regarding handing out free food sample? Some of the items I sell are mixes, that I prepare at home and bring into the market. I also have bottled sauces that I allow people to try.What I need to know is this:Do I need a permit to hand out free samples?Thanks in advance.

Be careful of this. There are scam artists who work in collusion with doctors. They take a sample, then complain that you poisoned them or triggered an allergy. Their doctor will verify that fact , and they will sue you for millions. Likely they have a lawyer in on the game as well.Make sure you have coverage for at least a million dollars before doing something like that.99.99% of people will be OK, just beware of the few that are looking to clean you out.

No doubt you already have a permit to sell items similar to a peddlars licence in the UK. I think the only other consideration is to have a food hygeine certificate and public liability insurance (in case someone drops dead after eating something that did not agree with them) But I m in UK where things are probably quite different.

Mystery shoppers ??? are they frauds? -

i received a letter from a company named basic success research inc. and they sent me a check of $3475.89 and told to secret shop and evaluate those stores like k mart, or go to money gram etc to evaluate them...is this true...or just a scam? but the thing i m confused about is they sent me a check ....can someone please help me and tell me some more about this....i dont want to just deposit this check and then later they ask for money from us? they said we dont have to pay them back but how can they just trust on us with that check?

I went to a lot of websites to join mystery shopping. one company had me go to a restaurant where you check out the time you stand online, and check everything. I had to pay for two meals and pay 35 dollars for the meals out of my own pocket. then I waited weeks to get my own money back. that was the one and only time I did it. another time another company wanted me to lie and look at an two bedroom apartment and I have a son and daughter who are adults living with me. and I will not lie for anyone. I think they are scams

This is an absolute scam. There are a number of ways that this particular one is run. One example is sending you the check, having you cash it and then transfer some money back to a different account. Eventually you will find that the original check is fake but the money you transferred is already gone so you re on the hook for the bad check and you ve lost your money. There are other variations but they run similar to this. your letter is a fraud. Companies that do mystery shops hire there own, (or go through an agency.) you have to do an interview and fill out lots of paperwork. Payment comes after you finish your shop.This is a Nigerian scam. the check is a toatal fake. After you cash it, they ll ask for some $ back. you ll send it, then your bank will tell you that the check is forged and you have to repay the bank ALL the money. They withdraw it out of your acount if you have it, and get a judgement againt you if you don t. these scams take advantage of the fact that a bank really takes 30 days to verify a check, but under the law, banks have to give your $ right away.

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online

you better get a job working every possible position AT A BAR (waitress, bartender, bar back, manager) first before trying to own and run one on your own - that s the only way you will learn what you need to learnlook in teh business book section at any large bookstore

I have not come across a book, but many people have blogs that discuss these issuesget a job in a bar and see first hand for your self the good and bad about this type of businessworking for someone you quickly see where the gaps are so when you do have your own place yu know what needs to be properly managed

Probably not as great as they hope to. That being said, there is a pent up need out there.That was proven with the Cash for Clunkers bail out plan.Once the right incentive was offered the crowds flocked to the showrooms.So if the offers are good enough the masses will respond.
