Is there a published list somewhere of new companies? Like a government listing of new companies? -

for a school project i need to identify and contact new manufacturing companies... new ventures or start-ups if you will. I know there are news articles and such about start ups, but I m looking for an official listing of new manufacturing companies.

There really isn t such a list. There are some companies that can provide such a list but they charge for the information.

I suggest you go to the court house most keep records of what are called the d/b/a forms a/k/a doing business as forms. You can also check with your secretary of state office they usually have Information on new corporations enterting the business market in your state. However each of these entities will usually charge a small fee for any list they produce. You may want to review your states Public Information Policy or ask the agency to tell you how they handle such a request.

im in ny, i go down town to the county court house, same people you buy your business liense from should also have a list of newly started busniessess as well, there may be a fee.
