Envelope stuffing(look at details)? -

So my mom and I were looking in the newspaper for maybe a second job for her, then we saw this envelope stuffing thing where you get like $10 for every envelope stuffed. So she called, and they sent the letter describing the job and the money you make. Well since the letter didn t give a website, I decided to look up the address. And wouldn t you know it? I found blogs and stuff talking about how it was a scam. For this program you had to send in $45, and If you weren t happy, they would refund your money. Well on some of those blogs I found, they actually did refund some people s money! Which defeats the purpose of scamming people for their money. On one blog the creator was talking about envelope stuffing, and what you re actually stuffing. Which is the same paper they sent to you, I think he said. But has anyone tried this(envelope stuffing) and actually got money? And why would my newspaper allow this to be published? here s the address that i m talking about: 4085 hancock bridge pkwy#111 suite #123North ft. myers, fl 33903google it and see what i m talking about:P

All envelope stuffing jobs are scams. That particular scam has been around for generations before there even was an Internet. Why does the newspaper publish it? Because it s not their job to verify whether anybody who wants to publish an ad in their paper is telling the truth or not. I m sure somewhere in the fine print of the advertising section, you ll see some fine print that says exactly that.

Dr. Deth s response is right on. Most publications do not check the worthiness of any ad. And as mentioned by other forum members, the stuffing envelope opportunity is a scam that s been drawing in new victims everyday!

That scam has been around since the beginning of time.

I actually fell for that scam once. :/It`s a rip.

in order to get paid for any of those things you will probably spend a lot more than you will get back1-you have to buy a mailing list of names to get to mail a letter or something to2-you have to print up letter and mail them - total cost - 50 cents a piece including envelopes and shipping3-for every 100 you get back ($50 in costs) you might get 2 responses ($20? income) and then you have to mail the entire envelope they sent back to you in a another envelope (2-3 ounces of postage) - further reducing your income - you you wind up losing money - not making it
