Can I sue google in small claims court for posting untrue reviews? -

A competitor posted a false and misleading review about our business, upon Google reviews. Despite many flaggings over time, Google has not removed the review, nor responded to correspondance on the matter.I wonder if I could file a claim against Google, in my county, in small claims court? In my state, parties can not be represented in court for small claims under $1500 (unless the defendant happens to be an attourney).Your thoughts?

Sure you can sue them...and then they can countersue you for millions of dollars simply for wasting their time. Not a smart choice; Find another way of making extra money.

You can t file where YOU live, you have to file and pursue the case in the small claims court in the state where the company you are filing against is headquartered. So if you can physically file and pursue a small claims procedure in Mountain View, California, you could try.

You ll lose. Google or any other site is not responsible for content posted by its non-employee users.

if there is a bit of truth in their statements then you would lose, as long as the statements do not slander you then you will not win

This is a waste of time and you won t get anywhere. Have you tried phoning?

waste of time to sue google
