How do you calculate ad rates and column inches? -

If I have a news story published about my company how do we calculate such ad rates and column inches compared to the news story? Would you please explain to me in step by step details?

Each newspaper have variable ads rates, depending on the number of distribution, subscription , etc... Yet simply you may only advice the news paper to put the news story in certain size.. you decide .. because it will depend on the font the news story run and put in.. just you can put it in font 10.. or 8 .. then it will be 8-10 words x 4 lines, 1-1.5 inch X 2 inches , and you can go from there..Good luck and have a great day ....
