What is the budget to own a restaurant ? -

Ok so i m taking a business class in high school and i have to create my own business and i choose to do a Mexican restaurant and i need a budget . So i was wondering if anyone knows of a website on how to find the whole budget , since I m buying the location and building it (including like cost of utilities,food,price to build,etc) Anything would be really helpful. No restaurant buys it s own location unless it s a huge outfit like McDs.Easier for your purposes to assume a lease @ $20 sf (or whatever the going rate is in your area -- check the commericial real estate section of the paper).Then factor in costs of food and supplies (including transportation), employees, biz insurance, marketing, legal/accounting, costs for stuff like payroll and credit card processing, computer hardware/software (i.e., cash registers and accounting system to track your revenue and costs), etc. And don t forget taxes on your profit.
