Get plenty of the booklets and leave them in frequented business around your town.The library is a great place to start. Most libraries have community tables where locals can advertise their goods and services.
Avon sells itself. Leave booklets in office break rooms. In public restrooms. Make up some bags with booklets in them and hang them on doorknobs. (Be aware that some offices and apartments do not allow this.) An apartment office may let you leave a few brochures in the office. Give booklets to salespeople in the store, the bank teller ..... everywhere you have contact with people. Guys do buy Avon and/or take the booklets home. Be available, deliver promptly, make sure your orders and bills are accurate.
Make sure you take your books with you wherever you go and give one to everyone you come in contact with. There are places that make totes that have a clear pocket in the front for you to place your brochure so people will come up to you and ask you for a book too. Businesses are a great place to find new customers, such as doctors offices, nail salons etc. Just walk in and ask if you can leave some books in their waiting room. The hardest part is keeping yourself from buying product for yourself to begin with and it takes a lot of self discipline, but you can do it!
