You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.
I totally understand your situation because I quitted my job after I have my first born baby! I don t know what a save job is. I have heard of people working from home as medical transcirptionists. A medical transcriptionist listens to doctor dictated audio files and types out what they say. The audio files are emailed to you at home and you email back the typed files. According to the US Department of Labor, there are over 100,000 people who do this. Not all of them work from home but a good majority of them do. Training is required so that is something to consider. A lot of the transcriptionists that I know trained at Career Step (http://www.careerstep.com/wah/?uid=a1403) It is a really good course. Approved by AHDI. If you go to their site, they have an online demo so you can see what their training is like and what material is covered.
