How can I get a Merchant Bank Account with a bad credit rating? -

I have never been overdrawn or in debt, however a cheque did bounce from my account last year... this seems to count against me and I can t find a bank that will let me open a merchant account due to my bad credit rating . Any suggestions??? thanks

A bounced cheque only shouldn t give you a bad credit rating. Did you have a look at your credit report? You can get them for free from different credit bureaus. Depending on where you are, I d try these two companies to get a merchant account:Canada: www.cardsolveprovincial.comUS: www.iso4chase.comTrying it with different companies to get a merchant account might help, you can probably get an account somewhere, some merchant account companies do give higher risk accounts as well, though their rates are high! What type of business is it that you have? That always have an impact on whether you can get a merchant account or not. In US, you can also try North American Bankcard, I hear they have low rates and in Canada, there is always Moneris. Good Luck!

If it s because of bad credit rating then that bounced check shouldn t be the reason you re getting denied. If you ve tried everywhere using your SSN, the next thing would be applying with your Tax ID under your business name, and adding yourself to the account as a primary contact. Bank of America has a good rating for business banking, so I would try there.

Try Netbanx and use their bureau account facilities initially. That way you build up your reputation and can apply for your own merchant account in due course. You can talk to real people and they re very helpful about what you need and how to spplyGood luck!

Use a third party merchant account. It is a quick solution to e-commerce, especially for those who may have problems qualifying for their own merchant account. Third party providers include 2CheckOut, Paypal, Alertpay and many others.

redit repair workd fine to fix my credit. They disputed and removed lots of bad items from my credit report. I used this service - creditreport.imess.net
