Wholesalers will provide goods to you at very low quantities. You just need to provide an ABN or ACN number and name. Overseas suppliers and manufacturers, will also supply low volume merchandise (50 to 100 units) as comapred to 20 years ago where the mimimum purchase order would have been 1000 units. In Australia, you could get a booklet of importers and wholesalers from the Australian Small Business Bureau. The Yellow pages is quite good if you know what to llok for. Do a seach in there Web site for Stationery with an e (hehehe) and you should get some good results. Even try other countries rather than just your location for suppliers.Your ABN has been referenced about what you stated at the time of registration so you will need to go back to registration and change the details, or add details if they are relevant or similar. I suppose if you previously ran a fast food shop, it would not be relevant but if your business was providing goods and services then it would still apply. Ask at Small Business Names Registration about these things and name changes. Think of a new name before you go.Stationery is wide and varied so you will have to decide what type of stationery would best suit your need as well as others. Many people just order online and have the goods delivered. Your business will nor be very successful, at least for the first 3 years, if you are lucky. Stationery includes pencils, pens, textas etc, Paper - A1, A2, A3, A4, A5 as well as a myriad of colours. Rulers, arts and crafts, pen holders, binders etc... You see, you need to cut down the variety and just provide the same items as what you would use.Advertise through use of pmaphlets, leaflets. brochures. you will not be able to compete with other retailers so you will need to be able to provide a good marketing strategy to convice people that what you provide would be more benefical to them than just ordering from the local stores.Startionery is very low profits based. You will have to add sales tax and delivery charges and your commission to the cost of the product. I think you have decided this idea in haste. You should specialise in a range of products that would be marketable to a more interested audience.

I think you should go online! you may need to get a new domain if the one you have is not the right combination of keywords. To learn how to do that, go to:http://www.sitesell.com/Carmen6.html
