If i made a trade online with strangers ? -

if i m doing a trade with some stranger on a forum and i sent my part but the other person send me something that is completely different, is there anything i can do? like if i sent you a book and in return i was to get a CD from you, but instead you sent me a shoe, what can i do about it. any possible legal actions?

No there is no recourse for you.You have a verbal agreement, not signed, not notarized. Online barter is mostly done on trust.You have the responsibility to ensure the buyer ( or seller ) is honest and trustworthy.Be more careful the next time.
