Test the waters at a crafts show or on ebay or craigslist. It is a low cost way to tesst your product tin the market. Do some research to know what a competitive product goes for to help with pricing. That is the fun part of operating a business. You need to go in understanding your cost structure. Doing one for a friend for profit is a lot different than doing it for a business. There is no overhead.Everyone will tell you to know your price point (revenue) cost to determine if there is profit. It is a worthless formula in your case as you have too many unknowns. Go this way instead: Profit - total cost = revenue you need to generate. That way profit is built in!Total cost should include fabic and other materials, packing materials, postage, other overhead (if any-computers, phones, accounting services, bank charges, etc), wages (even if it is only you your time must be worth something), insurances. Have fun and go in with your eyes wide open.
