I can sue a wholesale business for stealing our retail customer? -

my family owns a furniture business, and across the street from our location is a sofa manufacture/wholesale. lately, the manufacture is displaying their product with price tag $20 above my purchase cost on the street attracting customers. the problem is, we are the only 2 businesses on this street who sales furniture, however, we do retail and they are wholesale. we spend money and time posting ads and radio commercials, and the manufacture does nothing but displaying their low cost product on the street, thus stealing our customers. but the most frustrating thing is that they don t have any ads for retail, so we don t have any client from them. they are like a leeches feeding on our good will. what can I do?

Beat them at their own Game and advertise the unit they have in the window at costYou cannot sue anybody for being competitive, however you can provide better service and diversify your product lines in order to improve your competitiveness

Put the word wholesale in your name....price shoppers will now visit both places equally to see what you both have....you just want them to go through your door...its up to you to capture a customer from that point.Be more efficient with your advertising....TV and posting ads are very general ...hit and miss...you have no idea who is reading or seeing your ads....that is potentially alot of wasted money.Direct Mail is superior to everything. You can send great deals directly to people who you feel could be good furniture buying customers ( high income households, new move-ins, new construction areas, etc)Sending direct mail deals to existing customers is a great way to get them back in your store to buy something else.Ty in a pizza coupon or something similar ( find a willing restaurant partner) to draw traffic to your place.
