IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN SELL MY CLEANING SERVICE? -

Hi all - i started up a cleaning service about 6-7 months ago. (office cleaning) i ve been w/ one of my accounts about 6 months , and recently just got another account. between both accounts it nets me $2000 a month. i work a full time job and clean at night ( everynight). i was just wondering if anyone knows if it s possible to perhaps sell this business ? if so does anyone know how to go about it? can it be sold to a bigger company or something?

Not bad! The problem is... the accounts signed with YOU. They know you will perform, NOT the company. Also, unless you actually formed a corporation, it s VERY hard to sell a sole proprietorship. You may want to consult a commercial law attorney for this, as selling a business can get quite complicated.

You can probably sell the client list to a larger company, based on what the accounts bring in per year. It would be helpful if you have contracts with these clients, more to sweeten the deal than anything. The business itself, if it s registered, can just be de-registered on your own time later on.
