What is the difference between patents amp; trademarks? -

I have ideas for pet products for cats and dogs. I want to create my own line like Zanies, Chrome Bones, Kong, etc. Can I trademark my product line name and market my product ideas under that or would I have to patent my product line name and/or each individual product and market it that way? And how would I need to do each or one of the two? I would love to have my stuff be as recognizable as Zanies. But I ve tried to look up their website but I couldn t find one. Are they a company or did someone pitch their product line to someone and go that way? If so, how can I do that? And I have a cat toy idea that I think will be the next big cat toy and will win cats over. Should I have a prototype made up of it before pitching my line to someone and if so, where can I get the funding to make the toy? I have no credit and I m unemployed.

Where do you get boxes? You can get them from the post office or buy them from a store that sells packing/packaging supplies.Where do you take them to ship? To your local post office, FedEx, UPS, or whatever other shipping carrier you choose.How do you label them? Same as a letter. Your (return) address on upper left of shipping lable, the ship to address in the center. Surely you have seen packages that have been mailed before, to know what that usually looks like. If not, save labeling for when you get to the shipping point and someone there can help you.How much will it cost? But after the mailing I make a list of the items and the cost to the various zip codes using my PO receipt since they itemize everything.Postage cost depend on zone and weight of the item. You can also get boxes from those recycling bins you see out and about. But get there tward the end of the week, before they are emptied. You ll sometimes see where one of the shelf stockers has folded down boxes. See if they are the size you need. They ll let you have them most of the time. Try the dollar stores for smaller boxes.Copy and paste the name of your winners to wordpad on your puter and print them out. Then cut them out and tape or glue then on your parcels.Or print name and address by hand in pen, or if the package is large enough use a sharp point red marker.
