I want to register an export-import firm in India on sole proprietorship basis. From where do i start? -

Do i need to have shop and establishment license from local municipal office before i apply for Import-Export Code.

Go directly to or call/email the India Embassy in Washington, DC. I m sure they get you in touch with the proper authorities!
