This is the way in which flowers are sold in the flower markets in Holland .. I have visited there, the flowers come in to a market hall on little noddy trains, the screen flashes up the products, other details and the bidders, who have to be pre registered traders, sit in tiered desks to bid. The speed of the operation is fantastic. There are no lower bids, as the clock starts high and drops so the nerves hold and the bid is made, there is only one bid and its a winning bid.Edit: I ve found : www.floraholland.com which might be of interest to you.. its the largest flower market in the world.
