Can you name three things you did to boost your salon business? Revenue is low. Help!? -

3 things1.Use Facebook and social networks- Had all of our stylists and employees create facebook accounts and created a business page, invited all clients to teh page and continually post images, videos of our work. Keep the network involved.2. Marketed our services to popular persons in the community. Example- radio djs, politicians, tv personalities, waitresses, bar tenders, all persons with high exposure. We have them advertise with us, doing promotional kick backs based on referals...3. Spend the $1000 on a girls night out event in your area. Events with mutiple vendors that generates 500 or more persons in traffic to your booth. THEN show up with a unique concept. There are many hair salons out there, they all offer hair services... What makes you stand out? Create something fun. Give away hair extensions, do a charity extension for $10- pink hair for hope... Great exposure worth the money. My salon has a photo studio connected, so we set up a photoshoot at the event and offered make-up touch ups, hairstyling and a complimentary digital image, emailed to them (now we have emails for mailing list- we let people know they will end up on our mailing list- they can opt out.) Approx 10% opt out, most end up staying on your mailing list. About 30% end up coming to us as clients.

we built a web site. to insure we would pop up first when people looked on the internet for a salon in our area we created a google ad-word account. we get a TON of business through the web site, so its maintained and updated on a daily basis.we also have a facebook and myspace account.the third (and most expensive thing we do) is advertise on a local radio station. one week out of the month our ad plays on scattered time slots through out the day. unfortunately the saying you have to spend money to make money is some what true. we definitely get the most biz from the web but i believe these things combined have kept us afloat when so many others around us have gone out of business!

Dear for this or any business you must keep in mind three things:1st one is quality, 2nd one is your behavior towards your clients and 3rd one is your business location.I had launch my website http://www.bathhardware-bathroomaccessories.com/.you can find out many more things for your saloon.

hold a ladies night once a weeks where ladies can get together and have their hair etc done and have a bit of champagn and mingle with other women, offer them a a ear to listen and talk about problems they are having just stuff like that

You are going to have to find cheap ways to spread word of your business. Maybe referrals get people $5 off. Send out e-mails. Post up in free local newspapers your business.
