What is an acceptable hourly wage to copy articles using a copy machine? -

I have been offered a job to copy articles for someone until those articles are all copied. As far as I am concerned, this is an under-the-table job, so no taxes will be taken out. The employer has offered to negotiate the hourly wage with me, and I want to get the maximum possible, but not overshoot it. I live in America, so the minimum wage is $7.25/hr (the Pennsylvania, although obsolete, is $7.15/hr) Thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

well i presume they provide all the copy machine and all the materials to you so based on the cost of other places such as office max or other copy centers that do this for set fee of $50 or $100 depending on size of the job you hourly rate should be based on that !taking into account they have the cost of ink and paper i can copy articles at office max simple B W 8 X 11 pages for 7 cents each in less than an hour 1000 pages cost me $70 plus tax would be $74.90 so based on the size of the job which you dont say it is your hourly rate shoud be in figuring with how many pages your copying rembering that they have the cost of the ink and copy machine and paper ! I would say around $5 an hr for you especially since it s under the table figuring maybe 5 hrs time or even 10 hrs ! becuase at $7.15 an hour that would be the taxable wage so you lose like 30% of 7.15 an hour $71.50 for 10 hrs minus taxes leaves you with $50.05
