Do college bookstores sell windows 7 for half the retail price? -

A friend of mine told me that almost all college books stores sell windows 7 for right around 50 or 60 bucks. Anyone else here about this?

Typically the deals like that at college bookstores are for students with a valid student ID.

Yes, many of them have deals in that ballpark for those with appropriate ID, though it varies with version. Not just anyone can waltz into the college bookstores and get it at that price though. They have an even better deal right now where it s $29.99 for university students via win741.com, too.

there is a student version of many Microsoft programs (Office, etc)- probably NOT the full professional version, that is discounted

If you really are a student, go directly to Microsoft:http://www.microsoft.com/student/en/us/dIt says Win7 is $29.99 if you qualify.

do the online deal from Digital River for only $30 instead as long as you have a .edu email which if ur in college u should anyways.
