What is a faster way to sell some stuff: Craigslist or eBay? -

I need to sell a GPS system I got so I can pay for christmas presents. Which one would be the fastest way to sell it? Do you suggest another place?

Well, depends on how much feedback you have on ebay. if you have over 100 feedback, you can list it as a buy it now at a very good price with immediate payment required, sell it fast and have the cash in your bank accout in 3 or 4 days. However, if you have less than 10 feedbacks, you would have to put it as an auction and wait for the auction to end and for the buyer to pay you and then you have to wait 3 or 4 days for the funds to transfer to your bank account. And then there is the matter of Paypal s 21 day holds for newer sellers in high-risk categories. And electronics is a high-risk category. Paypal might hold your money for up to 21 days or until the buyer leaves positive feedback. In some cases, they will release it after the merchandise has arrived. Now, on to Craigslist. The key to selling stuff fast on Craigslist is short, to the point descriptions and good pricing. You need to look up the GPS s features and list them and list everything that comes with it. And then you need to research the price. Try using ebay s advanced search to get some idea of what similar GPS s have sold for. Then discount $20 or so for the buyer having to do all that driving and having to call you and ask you questions about it and all the annoying stuff that goes into a Craigslist transaction

Do both at the same time. Put it up on EBAY with a 3 day period. Put free shipping and up the price to cover it. You can use more text and graphics on EBAY. Craigslist is limited to 4 pics but do both.

i personally think that craigslist is the fastest way to sell something, that s if you don t really have the funds to list it on eBay.
