As long as lives at her parents house, and goes to school full time - she is a qualified member of the household. I don t think the parents took her off, but may have said that in order to have her bring some money into the household. She can apply for food stamps, at which time they ll let her know if her earnings disqualify her for them.

Can independent contractors apply for food stamps? -
If someone is an independent contractor, like as a guide for ChaCha answering questions can they apply for food stamps? My friend wants to know. She is almost 19 and in college full-time, has no other job, just answers questions for ChaCha,and she lives in her parents house. Her parents get food stamps but they took her off because of her age.
