If you sell sumthing brand new on ebay still in box and sealed in pics could buyer just lie and say...? -

that they just received an empty box???? im trying to sell an expensive game system (ps3) and it hasnt been opened even. well i wanna sell it on ebay which would mean all they would see in the pics is the box obviously since its brand new and not opened, but could they just lie and say they only received the box?? given that in the pic the only thing youd technically see is the box..should i just open it to take pics of the contents as a safeguard? or should i not worry about that? i only ask because its an expensive item and i know a lot of ppl on ebay are sneaky and dishonost..are sellers protected against this type of fraud? i plan on shipping with UPS and getting insurance and tracking #. i havent sold many real big things on ebay so im a noob and little nervous about an item this expensive. thanks

I dont know, i usually dont use ebay, but maybe you could weigh it first and put the actual weight on there. An empty box would weigh a lot less than a box with a ps3 in it. Personally, I feel its safer to buy things sealed in the box, I feel more comfortable that way as a buyer, and I am pretty sure other buyers would too, that way they can t blame you for messing it up then selling it.

Yes take a pic of the contents. Get insurance on it when shipping it. Get a delivery receipt.

Take an ad out inYOUR local paper much cheapaer better results or just spread the word around your neighborhood I am a former E bay seller boy did i get out of there fast 2 1/2 yrs ago !
