I can answer this on my husband behalf. 1. Painting and Repairs2. It has been about a year since he started making money on his own. Business became legitimate 6 months ago.3.It is run by my husband along with his best friend. They own one work van. have no office. Its all based in our home.4. His father once owned a painting business.5. He hated working for someone else. He always said I dont want to make someone else rich 6.It became real in the matter of months.7. Milestone were making the business legitimate and then eventually being layed off from his day job. It made it so his new business was our sole income. 8. he used money from his day job to start the business.9.We looked up most of that information online.10. Its scary to go out on your own. Our society has us programmed to believe that we MUSt work for someone else to bring in a decent income. Its also extra stressful in the beginning because you normally break even with money. your investment money cancels out the money you made. 11.You have your own sched. If you cant work that day, then you dont! Its also possible to make more money.12. You must be outgoing. Not afraid to take risks. Must be a people person to promote your business. 13. We didnt really have a formal plan since this is not a major company... yet ;). But I do think it would be a good idea. Its a MUST if you are going to take out a business loan.
