no degrees just have to have lots of connections/relationships with business owners and the ability to negotiate. party planners average $30,000 a year unless you are a high end celebrity planner you could make $150,000 a year but you ll have to know art, history, culture and design
Sunsets Moonrises,As Tipper mentioned, it will depend a lot on clientele and the types of parties you re involved in planning and promoting. Please note that being a party planner tends to be less about planning and more about promoting so it depends a lot on networking and developing lists of both attendees and clients. I know one promoter who makes well over $75k and only has 2 clients because he s a great promoter and has great lists. I m sure it s much more and much less for others.Good luck!
