I want to open a second hand clothing store in Mexico but I have hear there are new laws to discourage this.? -

The clothes would be clean, close to new and/or in very good condition. But I understand the Mexican government is negative about transporting the clothes into Mexico because tax is not paid for the purchase in Mexico. How can I get around this or what are the proceedures to make this work?

Just pay the import tax

Just a real quick question, what does this mean for my McDonalds work schedule? -

I have work tomorrow at 16:00 to 20:00. I don t know what that means, my dad says it means 4 to 8, but my friend said it s 2 to 6. I don t know whose right, I think my dad is since it seems like military time.

it s 4-8

its military time. 12 pm is 1200 hours... and so on 1 pm is 1300, 2pm is 1400 and so on. their are 24 hrs in a day so that is how military time goes by. your dad is right. its not complicated once you get used to using the military time standards...

Your dad is correct, and it is military time. You just subtract 4 from the number. Military time is 24 hours instead of house normal clocks/time is split into 2 twelve hour blocks of time am/pm.

your dad is right. in a 24h system 13:00 is 1pm 14:00 is 2pm and soand 24:00 is midnight

ok 20:00= 4 hours before midnight. figure it out

Please help me understand this....? -

As of January 1, 2007, the partnership of Canton, Yulls and Garr had the following account balances and percentages for the sharing of profits and losses:Cash $ 80,000Noncash assets 205,000Liabilities 47,000Canton, Capital (30%) 138,000Yulls, Capital (40%) 119,500Garr Capital (30%) (19,500)The partnership incurred losses in recent years and decided to liquidate. The liquidation expenses were expected to be $10,000.1) How much cash should have been distributed safely to partners at this time?2) How much cash should each partner have received at this time?

Since the non-cash asset value is over four times the total liabilities all but $10,000 of the cash can be distributed to the partners. The $70,000 should be distributed in the same proportion as the capital of each of the partners 30% each to Canton and Garr and 40% to Yulls).Hope this helpsJerry-the-bookkeeper

I love music and im thinking of a business to start base around music? -

no record labels

Good question. It s a question that many people in the music business for years have been asking themselves too. I would avoid any business that is tied to the sale of masters (the actual recordings). If you can raise some money there is still money in music publishing because there are more synchronization opportunities than ever before (placing music in film, tv etc) but there are also more people vying for those placements than ever before. There is still money in touring and music merchandise (tee shirts, keychains etc) so that makes starting a music merch company possible and or being a club promoter / booking agent etc workable. There is also a never ending group of musicians who need help getting their music heard and placed but this group tends not to have the deepest pockets.Forgive me that wasn t much of an answer but will hopefully give you something to think about.Very best of luck,Rick

opening a record shop. there s one near me that could do so well, but its on a tiny street so no one even knows it exists. i only know of it because i happened to get lost when i was trying to find the tattoo parlour (which i never did find lol). anyway, lots of people still collect them and they can sell for a lot o money. so i would definatly recommend that. then you could expand the business by having a tattoo and piercing parlour out back. or have a cafe within the shop thats music themed. or you could turn the upstairs into a small music venue. something like that.help with my business plan please?? its on my questions on my profile. i cant post links lol :):)

I would like to start a non for profit organization for needy children to donate toys and books.? -

ive thought for some years to start an organization for children. being a mother and a nurse i see the way our economy has forgotten about our children and just not for the holidays do children want toys or books. Im lookin for advice were to begin.

You don t need to start a nonprofit to do what you wish to do. In fact, many organizations, houses of worship, schools and other places already organize toy drives and book drives which they do as part of their charity work. See Toys for Tots at http://www.toysfortots.org for an example. I suggest you contact a local school, church or charity and see if they have volunteer opportunities for you to assist them in their efforts in this area.if you decide to start your own anyway, you can see the resources at the Foundation Center at http://www.foundationcenter.org (look under FAQs/Getting Started to find helpful information and tutorials that will help you thru the difficult process. As well, you should see the IRS website at http://www.irs.gov under Life Cycle of an Exempt Organization to see what you will need to do to apply for and maintain exempt status: http://www.irs.gov/charities/charitable/

Associations may be a good avenue to explore.
