Payroll check from daycare bounces? -

I m a preschool teacher at a local daycare my last check just recently bounced. My employer ended up having to me a total of $720.00 back. She paid me $478.00 so far, what can I do if she does not pay me back all the money she owes me? What are my options? This happens every two weeks and it s not just me whose check has bounced, there were several others. What can I do about this because it s been going on for a long time!?

First thing I would do is put resume s out for another place to work. Second I would talk to all the other employees and as a group, write a letter to the owner stating that according to your state s laws, you are entitled to fair pay. I understand money is tight, even for a small business. This does not excuse them for paying employees. If they can t pay everyone, then they will have to start laying people off. This would allow the laid off person unemployment benefits. This is a lot more fair than stringing them along and expecting work for free. If the company still doesn t pay, you might have to send a letter to your state s labor board.

Just keep the communications lines open and follow up with your employer till they have paid you in full. In the mean you should consider looking for a new job as it sounds like your current employer is about to go under. For most businesses bouncing payroll checks is the very last thing they want to do. So in my opinion they are probably on their last leg.

contact your local employee rights agency they will get your money for you and others your employer is breaking the law and will lose thier license and business if they fire you becue of seeking justice wooooooooooo boy they really are in trouble with the fedral agencies

Where can I sell fashion accessories and jewelry? -

I am planning to sell my things online and want to know what site would you recommend. Is Ebay effective? I ve heard they charge fees even if you don t make a sell. I ve heard of Etsy... anyone who is selling on Etsy, please give me your thoughts. Any more suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.btw, anyone who sells on alibaba.com? i can supply in bulk but what is the minimum order? is this site OK? anyone selling on alibaba.com, please help me. I really need money.

E-bay is very effective, they charge listing fees which are 2.50 .Also there is craigslist.com....or you could start your own website.by the way craigslist is free.

I have not heard about Etsy and alibaba.com before. Yes, Ebay charges fees. I suggest that you should have social-marketing website like Facebook - prompting your items to your close friends and their friends till networking of friends. Good luck for your small business. Cheers!

I have used ebay and etsy. Ebay fees have gotten ridiculous lately and I use only etsy now. For 20 cents you can list on etsy and it stays listed for 4 months I think. The people I have dealt with on etsy have been great. Create an account and ask questions in the etsy chat rooms under the community tab, most people there are really helpful.

They offer a free online store...http://www.ecrater.com/http://www.vstore.ca/When putting your products online, use keywordsin the product description so that piece will be found higherin the search results.Tutorial here...http://businessfromhomework.us/keywordre

The problems with the places you have mentioned is that you are one of millions trying to do the same thing. Your problem with selling in bulk is you have no numbers to give. They will want to know more then price. What about returns? Shipping? Recommendations from other businesses you have sold to? If you are selling it on ebay. for what price as this will impact my mark-up as I am now in competition with you. Are you a legit business and so own.Anytime you are just starting out, you want to take advantage of other places that are just starting out or smaller businesses. It is very hard to get your products in big box chains at first. For example:To start out, in essence you drop ship. You go to small businesses that are selling online and or have real store locations. You then ask them to list your items on their sites. You can keep their risk low, by then letting them sell your items once a sale is made on their site, they then order it from you. You in turn send it to the customer using their name (the site that sold it will pay you for the shipping since they collected it when the initial sale was made. You can now make a website (your products for wholesale) where other companies can contact you. You can list the businesses that you are currently selling to. You can add a buy now feature, with a link to their sites, in case a consumer (non business) goes there. This does many things.... It gives you exposure, them exposure, and best of all it makes the risk of doing business with you very low and more enticing. This is what as known as one hand washing the other. If you would like to send me some pictures, brief descriptions, and a basic prile list, I will contact some of the companies I sell my apparel on/at maybe hook you up.

How can I make money in a car wash when it rains? -

I own a car wash and would like some input and how can I make money in my businees when it rains. Abviously there is not a lot of business when the weather is bad. Please give me some creative ideas.

Advertise an interior detailing service.

Forget it. I work at a car wash and for us rainy days are our work days, when we do maintenance that we can t do when we re open. You ll always have a few stupid people who want to come through, but it s just easier to close and get stuff done.

You could set up a car washing center with a bay and easily make money.

tell the the rain damages the paint work n they need a wax to get the shine back

What happens if you sell a business and buyer doesnt make monthly payment? -

I sold a small business to an associate. We did a bill of sale stating that she will make $1000 payment monthly. What happens if she doesn t pay? what if she packs her bags and leave over night?

The bill of sale can be recognised as a contract and you can sue her for any outstanding amount as well as legal fees, that is if she s still in the country. If she leaves then simply take the business back somehow.

Julie,First of all you should create such a good business realtionship with her that she should think twice b4 running. And u should proove her that cheating u is not a right thing to do Some times our attitude helps us not the court

Your associate is bound by contract to make the monthly payment. SInce she has defaulted, you have every right to take legal action.

you take her to court and they will settle it

Started selling Avon again, stopped selling before because I wasnt really bringing in a lot of money? -

I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get more customers. I have put books on doors, put adds on craigslist and in the penny-saver, and still only wound up selling to family and friends. I want to widen my horizon.

I don t believe you are going to get many responses by simply leaving books around. I think you will need to be a little more personal about it. Try to speak with your potential customer, perhaps give them a sample or show them something in your book you think would be good to try. Try to sell in a location where there might be multiple customers(work,school,gym,etc...). People tend to follow others, if someone sees a person buying something, they may feel more comfortable about buy something themselves.http://www.youravon.com/dsatar

Your particular area may not be interested in Avon products. Perhaps get another booklet based business so you can double up? Betterware is very good. I did it for a year and earned about $300 per week. http://www.betterware.co.uk/Content2.aspBetterware is kitchen products so it will not conflict with Avon Products.Perhaps you could add an insert letter with your booklet/s? The letter could say something about yourself, like an introduction about their local representative. Add your mobile or phone number, better to get a separate number than your home number

Take your books wherever you go and talk AVON to everyone you come in contact with. Have an AVON open house invite all your neighbors and call it a getting to know you party. Make sure you have business cards made up and you can even get window decals and car magnets made up. Wear something AVON always so when people ask you can share with them what you do. Search online for AVON templates, there are a lot of great sites out there made for reps like you. Good Luck!
