I m a programming major, and I m looking for some extra cash. Will people/ small businesses pay for a professional-looking website done by a student?Any tips on how I will be able to get around doing this?
YES people pay for a website. Companies do and so do models , actresses etc. I am actually looking for someone to create my website. I am taking Maxim style pictures and I want to make a modeling website. You should post on craigslist thats where a lot of web designers get small gigs. I posted an ad 2 days ago and looking for a web designer and craigslist is where I found them :) I haven t found exactly what I m looking for but I would definately be interested in seeing your work. How much would you charge for a website like this:http://kimkardashian.celebuzz.com/ you can email me at nicolle.segovia@yahoo.com Thanks.
Yeah, people definitely will pay for that. My friend does this on the side and makes pretty decent money. I would post an ad on Craigslist or a similar site and show a few examples of your work. You could also go around to small businesses in your neighborhood that you know don t already have websites and offer to do it for them.
some people doyou need to learn html at the very least - a very easy programming language to learn - I taught myself 10 yrs ago and I m an accountant by educationin order to get any decent paying gigs - you probably need to learn Java and maybe some other languages - google it to see what languages are used in websits
some will. if you re a freelanceer, and do not collect progress payments, you re going to get stiffed frequently.
