What should I put on my land? -
How much money would i need to start my own consignment shop? -
You should visit The Small Business Administration (http://www.sba.gov/). This site will be your go-to site for understanding what is needed to start your own business. They provide instructions, guidelines and resources to get your business up and running.I know the thought of opening up a consignment shop may be in its very early stages, but you may want to check out or bookmark this site, http://www.l-trondirect.com/ once you get it up and running. My friend recently opened up a small retail store in town and he was looking for barcode scanners to track his inventory and purchasing point-of-purchase equipment, like those electronic signature pads you find at many stores near the checkout. This site was a huge help when it came to equipping the store to manage the product sold, capturing payment methods of his customers and whatnot. You may find this site useful in time.Best of luck to you!

art exhibits with live people
I would suggest www.etsy.com over ebay.
A lesson in marketing brought to you by ME! ----Ebay can work, but the problem is that art is very subjective. That means, you may not get what you expect to get out of it. If you just put a bland -every day- looking post on there saying hi i have this blowfish looking thing made of paper mache and would like to sell it.. no reserve Then you probably won t sell it. Here s the plus side. People really don t know JACK about art nowadays, so if you really know how to talk it up, you can probably sell it for a lot more than it s worth to someone who THINKS they are buying a masterpiece. that s the truth.. so if you say something like For your viewing pleasure, i have here the ORIGINAL Jillian Guthrie (or whatever your name is) impressionist screen print depicting the Moulin Rouge in Paris. This Original print is serial number 0001 of a limited run of 1000. Jillian Guthrie is America s next up and coming impressionist artist who has already made a huge splash in several art shows in New York, Paris, London, and Los Angeles. Her impressionist style is coveted, and she is considered brilliant by all who are lucky enough to view her work in person. Number 0030 of 1000 recently sold at public auction for $3000 USD. Thank you for viewing and enjoy! ---what i m trying to say is that.. people will buy ANYTHING if they THINK it s more valuable than it is, and the TRUTH is, NOTHING is more valuable than what someone will pay for it. if you took the HOPE DIAMOND and put it in an estate sale in some BFE town in Arkansas, you MIGHT get 1000 for it.... but if put it in front of the right people, you may get hundreds of millions.... but... the hope diamond is LITERALLY worth -more money than the ENTIRE PLANET has printed to date... it s LITERALLY worthless because nothing in the world could buy it. see what i mean??here s a good example of what i was talking about. some dude put some milk bottles at the end of some wires, and all of the sudden he s a genius and charges some HUGE amount of money for these things. http://www.dutchbydesign.com/products-Mi 815 British pounds to be exact, which comes out to 1329 american dollars. 1440 Australian dollars. (i didn t realize the AUD and the USD were that close... i could LITERALLY make something in my garage that looks JUST AS GOOD as what this guy did, and stick it on ebay and not make a single sale from it.. but.. if i talked it up like these people talk it up on this website, then i could sell it for about what that is.. i ve NEVER heard of droog neither have most people. PART TWO!!!!!!!!!!part two, is that you need a VERY nice, flashy high end looking website. you don t have to pay tens of thousands of dollars for it, you just need it to exemplify your art in a way that people WILL look at and think more highly of it. If you go and take photos of your art with a camera phone and stick them on a website, the photo itself makes the art look LESS appealing.. if you have a professional light it correctly, make use of angles, and color saturations, and all the things that photographers do, and then fine tune them in Photoshop before sticking them online, you d find a 400 fold improvement on what someone is willing to pay.if FOOD smells and tastes good but LOOKS horrible, and the restaurant you re in is dirty, run down, and you see roaches on the floor, it doesn t matter HOW good the food tastes..... you won t enjoy it as a customer, and they as an establishment will NEVER be able to sell it as a 4 star meal......... do you see my points??????? YES you can make money selling your art, but you need to do more than just throw something on ebay wih some pics from your cell phone and hope it sells.. you also need to design your ebay auction.. here s the differences... check this out 1.5 MILLION dollar car http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lamborghi versus...a motorcycle tire..http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suzuki-Hawhich one catches your attention more???????? and which one SUITS what the seller is selling??
