Laws regarding setting up a lemonade/juice stand? -

what are the general laws surrounding setting up a lemonade stand? Do you need a business permit? Where are you legally allowed to set one up? Taxes? Thanks.

If you follow the letter of the law, yes you would need a business permit to set up a lemonade stand. However most places will overlook that as long as some nosey neighbor doesn t complain. You will also need a permit to set one up in a public place like a park. And if you really want to be a stickler for rules since you are serving food you would have to have your preparation process checked by the health department. No one would take it that far....or would they.

you need to get a couple of different permits. A selling of food product permit and a lot of others. Technically you set up almost anywhere to set up your stand. Taxes don t apply. In my area I heard over the radio that a couple of children setting up their lemonade stand got a $50 ticket from a police officer for operating without a license.

Do you have a great idea? -

so im going to do an enterprise project in school. i want to have a really good product that is cheap and people will want to buy, any ideas

Your project is to design and create a portable platform that folds up and fits in a purse or a pocket. It would expand easily. It would be stable. Anyone who is 5 feet tall could instantly stand on it so he or she could be talking eye-to-eye with someone 6 feet tall. No need for high heeled shoes. People would want to buy this.

wow you are lazy. it is your project. Talk to your partners and your teacher and actually use your brain.

Macys in NYC quick question? -

I m 20 years old and I have very good experience based on retail. My occupation is always categorized as a sales associate. I am well spoken and well groomed. My current job is Calvin Klein. Now, I am planning on getting a better job. I want to work at Macy s in herald square. How exactly do they judge me based on experience for young adults like myself? What can I do to make my chances higher when applying? Should I speak to the Manager and tell him It would be a privilege to be a member of your company ? Please help.

You have the passion for it.. and you talk very well as it seems from what you wrote here.. just go talk with the manager, and ask for the time for application, and your experience is well enough.. plus your positive attitude..good luck and have a great day .
