Do I need a small business lisence to fix computers in my home for a fee? -

I wasn t sure whether to try to find a legal section or put it here, but the topic is business. So here goes.I m 16 and am very experienced with computers. I m currently in my first year at college and am very confident in my ability. I ve made a few house calls setting up networks and fixing computers packed with viruses. I d like to put an ad in the paper and make a little money with it. (Foodservice jobs suck! XD)Do I need a small business license or something? I didn t even think of it until I realized that I could make quite a bit of profit (for a teenager) and that I ll probably have to file taxes or something of the sort. The bottom line: Do I need a small business license? Keep in mind I m only 16, so I m still a minor. I don t know if that makes a difference.

yes you do...but for a donation hell no.Example....Scenario 1 (With License). I will charge you 50 for a hard drive installScenario 2 (No license). Give me a 50dl donation for installing the hard drive..

As long as your earnings are below the thresh-hold you don t. You have to check your state laws for the limit.

for tax purposes you will want to file for a LLC

if you re going to do something that you enjoy and may lead to starting, building and owning a successful computer repair business then do it right from the start...1.Create your company name.2.Register your name.3.Form your business structure; Sole Proprietorship.4.Obtain your business/occupational license (if needed by your county).5.Obtain your resellers license (sales tax license) which most states allow at age 16...if not then have one of your parents get their tax id, sales tax license and you make it look like you work for them...6.Get signed up with the distributors in order to have access to hardware and software at wholesale.-you need a website...every business needs a website...7.Choose your domain name.8.Register your domain name9.Choose a webhost provider and a hosting plan.10.Choose your web development software.11.Start building your website.12.Set up your merchant account or paypal account or have your parents set it up for you.13.Complete your website.14.Promote, market and advertise your website and services locally and online as well to establish a presence.. many people use google more than they use their yellowpages.15.Then wait for the order to start rollin in.Of course it s not that simple but it can be if you just take it one step at a time. Write a simple step-by-step business plan just as you see here. Then follow each step and then scratch it off of your list as you complete it. Before you know it you ll be needing to hire more help. Hope this helps...

I am start a software/bpo company any suggestion for me? -

Why dont buyers leave feedback? -

Isn t it so annoying on amazon,ebay,half.com, and wherever else when the buyers dont leave feedback? It just makes me wanna grab them by the neck and force them to click the simple positive feedback button.Maybe its not just me..

I guess for the same reason that rarely anyone chooses a best answer on YA! : they just WANT something and don t care about the effort that others expend to provide what they want.

Once upon a time, feedback on eBay answered two simple questions. If you were a buyer, did you pay for the auctions you bid on? If you were a seller, was the item delivered as described? Now, it s all messed up. If you are a seller, you can no longer leave negative feedback if someone promises to buy an item and never pays for it. As a result, sellers heed the saying of he who praises everybody praises nobody and tend to not leave feedback for anyone. Buyers have taken the cue that the feedback system has become essentially meaningless and have stopped leaving feedback for sellers. The solution is to write a nasty email to ebay/amazon/half about the sorry state of their feedback system. They regularly distribute the most amusing at their annual Christmas party. Perhaps you can give them a laugh or two.

I know what you mean. I sold on eBay a long time ago and only a handful of people bother. I ve always left feedback whether I ve been a buyer or seller. It takes a moment of my time and I actually like helping other people even in some small way. When I was selling on eBay, I used to tell people that if they let me know when they got the product, that I d be happy to leave feedback right away for them. That did get some people to leave me FB. I never directly asked anyone to do so, though. As a buyer, I always leave feedback except if a seller TELLS me to do so. I like to feel that I m doing something voluntarily, you know. If someone writes me a note saying Positive feedback is much appreciated :) and doesn t order me to do so, I m more than happy to comply. Some people just don t give a flying F about others; it s that simple.

Yea sometimes, but I don t make a big deal... I d be happy if they leave nice comments but I d rather not get any negative comments.

Because no one gives a crap as long as they get the product. That s the way humans are, unfortunately. Too greedy so force any other information into their heads.

Can any body tell me ideas of how to work from home ? and if yes how to do it ? -

I am a trainer in the home based industry. Will you tell me your background of jobs you have had in the past?

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

If you are looking for home based business that earn you long term income, You must have look this method. It will make very good income for you every months. You can get more info at link below.

I want to relocate somewhere new and make a fresh start. Where should I begin? -

Begin by figuring out what went wrong where you are now, that you feel you need a fresh start. Remember that you take yourself with you wherever you end up going.Good luck.

Depends on what you want to do and what you hope to escape. If you are on the lam from the law, you may want to look at another country (just about every other country on the planet has better health care than we do and a better economy). If you only speak English and are on the run, Canada rocks. It s just like the U.S. only cleaner, friendlier, and more efficient. If you re looking for a decent job, ask yourself what you want to do and then look at different states occupational outlook and major industries. You can do this by looking up whatever state you re thinking about and then googling it s occupational outlook, long-term business atmosphere, economy and job picture. You can find this by just Googling these exact terms and looking up office of economic development long term: for whatever state. You ll start seeing trends or patterns after a few minutes of looking. With the way the unemployment rate is continuing to rise and many companies simply refusing to hire and banks refusing to lend, you might want to consider moving to a state where you have friendly supportive family in case you need to ask them for help if fish aren t biting. So it depends on many different things, but you have a few ideas to kick around to start off with. If you speak foreign languages of any kind, that also gives you more marketability.

it depends what you like, city or treees n nature n what not...california vs.south carolina for example, big difference...

Would you pay $60 a month for a professional website for your business? -

includes (if applicable) flash, data entry, really good design.I cant provide a link right now because i want to keep it quiet until im ready to open.

For web hosting, or the design? For hosting, that is a horrible price. For design, it depends on how good of a job they do.

How long do I have to wait before I can write off inventory.? -

I have excess and obsolete inventory - some of it was just plain ordered wrong by employees.Do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I write-off this crap? Is there a maximum we can write off per year? This if for a wholesale business - any advise would be appreciated.

You write it off as soon as you deem that it s value has gone down. Usually at year end before preparing the financial statements.

I would talk to your accountant. You could try to sell the stuff off on ebay or craigslist and just take a loss on it (assuming that someone wants it somewhere). You could also donate it to a non-profit.In any case, consult your accountant because there could be tax implications whatever you do.

If I sell something on ebay do I have to print the shipping label? -

No, you can write the address on the package and take it to the post office to stand in line, weigh, measure, slap a sticker on it and then charge you.I always print mine off because 1. You get a shipping discount for printing online. 2. If it is priority, I can schedule a pick up by the mail carrier. 3. If I do have to take it to the post office, I can just leave it on the counter instead of waiting in line. 4. You know the info is accurate because it came directly from the buyer s account - writing it by hand can cause a mistake.

My brother sells things on Ebay and he says that he prints the label just because it would already be paid for. But, he says you don t have to print it if you don t want too. He prints it so that it will go to the post office. You could get a shipping label from the post office but you might need to pay for it. So, I think you could just print the label and it will show that everything s been paid for.

no - if u are on ebay the merchandize will automatically ship to do right place.

Bike Courier Main Offices? -

I was writing a story for English about a bunch of couriers hanging out waiting for their next commission and it just occurred to me. Do couriers have a building they go to for work or do they just stay home until they are requested to deliver something?

They are on call, they work for a company with an office, but seldom go there except to deliver paperwork

Has anyone heard of RKS amp; associates for stuffing envelopes? -

I just want to know if you have worked threw this company only or if you know anyone who has worked threw them and actually made some money or had success? Down falls?

Most of the stuffing envelope companies are scams. They say they will pay u per envelope but its only if they get a sale with the envelope u sent out. Its not worth it

stuffing envelopes is a scam. most of the work at home jobs are. if they ask you for money at all, don t do it. think about it... why would you have to pay them to get a job? and the number of envelopes you d have to stuff to make any kind of money is insane.

Believe me...IT S A SCAM! If you want to work from home have a look at these two websites.http://www.Any-Income.comhttp://www.ActiveAutoIncome.com

Ebay selling with a reserve. my auction just ended and I need help.? -

I ve sold some sunglasses and the reserve hasn t been met. it went straight to the unsold section. I still want to sell the glasses to the highest bidder. what do I do?

if I m thinking correctly, there should be a second chance offer button somewhere in the options of the unsold item. just click that then go to the highest bidders name and send it to him/her. you could always set up the auction again and get the buyer to bid for how much he/she won them for then end the auction early with him/her as the winner. then send the invoice for payment.
