Can I ship an envelope as first class mail and claim it as a package? -

The problem is I want delivery confirmation but it says the envelope has to be more than 3/4 thick in order to get delivery confirmation. Can I claim it as a package instead so I could use both? Would thet not ship it and return it to me? Any advice? I don t really want it to be bulky since it s just a book and I m trying to save on shipping.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!All you re going to do is screw up, and it ll cost you more than the normal postage!

A book is a package because it is not a flat document. If you want to save on shipping, send it Media Rate.

Can I sell things via a blog? -

I have books, records, cd s, magazines etc...which I occasionally sell on e-bay. Is there any reason why I can t set up my own blog...listing my items for sale...and selling them that way? Obviously it wouldn t be a bidding site...but I could just list all my items with selling price...and delete them as they sell. Any opinions and/or advice would be gratefully received. :)

Sounds like a great idea, but the only problem is that you must know how to drive traffic or else no one will ever visit your site. Plus, you have to have a lot of inventory in order to support a site and keep people coming back. Good Luck!

As you already have the items on ebay, would you do better to use your blog to promote those items with pictures of the items and links to ebay? I use my blog to promote my goods from my website. www.heritagepolish.blogspot.com shows you what I mean.

Hi,I am a web developer (usually working freelance) I am in the process of setting up a partnership. If you would like an extremely good e-commerce site feel free to get in touch. This would be better than a blog.MSN: support@hostitlocal.co.uk

Why do businesses not take money when power is out? -

This happened in the shopping center where I work, The power went out some shops just stayed closed, and some kept track of the money and everything themselves. In major businesses and stores where evreything is electronic, it s not as easy as looking on a tag adding everything up, then accounting for taxes. Those items that were sold are still in the system may not be accounted for later once power comes back on. So sometimes it s just easier not to take any money at all.

Their accounting may all be done electronically, so accepting money or any sales would create a mess accounting wise. In stores like walmart their inventory is set up in a way that as soon as an item is checked out, there is another one being taken off of a shelf at a warehouse to replace the one you just bought. If there is no power then this would not happen.

Do you pay shipping and handling online or when the guy comes up to your house? -

I ve never ordered online before so I just one to clarify.

Any purchases you may make now or in the future online, will always include SHIPPING and HANDLING as part of the sale. No body accepts CASH ON DELIVERY anymore (COD).

How much are 5-11 buisness days? -

i ordered it on saturday.

Business days are Mon-Fri only. So if you ordered on Sat, at best you will see it 6 days later on this Fri. The latest is two weeks or so.

Selling this on eBay? Does it work? -

If I forged signatures on baseball and nascar-racing cards, do you think people would purchase them on eBay? I know someone through my work that is doing that but I haven t asked how much he gets for it.

Sure you can do that - BUT if someone gets the signatures validated that you forgedThe FBI will be knocking on your door for perpetrating fraudThe only thing you will get is about 15 years in prisonWithout you including a verified document of the signatures - what fool would bid on them ? ?It would be only a matter of (a time bomb) would explode in your face.

Stupid fraudulent idea!!Hope you get scammed on ebay then the shoe is on the other foot

I am trying to start a cupcake business at home. I need to know if i need a business license in Idaho? -

Your first priority is to find out whether you are legally allowed to sell food that you ve prepared at home, or whether you will need a commercial kitchen. You ll have to get your kitchen inspected, and bring it up to code if it isn t. You will almost certainly need a food handler s license, as well. You will probably need a business license.Usually these things are issued by the city and/or county, so you will have to check with your local city Health Department for the kitchen and food handler s license.

you might need a separate dedicated commercial kitchen that is not used for regular household cooking and zoning laws may not let you operate a business out of your house - start with your town s business and licensing dept and zoning dept

You might need a license to sell food.

How is it to work in a jewelry store? I have an interview soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? -

I have an interview soon. I need to know, do I dress like office like. A collared shirt, and dress pant.Or should I wear a regular nice polo shirt. Also the pay is $10 to $13 dollars an hour plus bonus based on experience. I don t have jewelry experience, but I do have customer service experience. They called me from two days after I submitted my resume online. The manager said the position is sales associate, but he also said the duties include purchaser buy merchandise(this got me confuse) What is that? Also should stay with $10 dollars an hour or ask for $12 or $13? I have customer service experience, almost have an associates degree in liberal arts, and I m 26 years old. In another words I have bills to pay. My sister tells me to ask for $12 even $13, but I don t have alot of retail experience, just customer service and office work. My sister has alot of retail experience, and works at a high end store. Does this matter, should I consider this? I don t want to price myself out of the job by asking for too high pay, or too little. Based on my experience and situation, do you think they ll be likely to pay me more, or only the starting pay of $10 per hour only? My sister tells me that I m selling myself short. But I don t have retail experience just customer service and office.

You don t need to know anything , just sell the most expensive jewels .I went with my precious stone collection to a jewelry once and they didn t know what stones i brought even my gold brick they couldn t identify. So your sales experience should be enough :P
