My friend and I want to start an online business do we need to have a business license? -

We live in Ontario, Canada, we would like to start a beauty cosmetic business online, we are wondering if we need to register with the government to get a business license.

Yes becasue Canada rquires a business license, to sell items online. If you want I can build and design you a cosmetics website where you can add pictures of your inventory and prices. Check out my sitewww.dream-site-design.viviti.com, if you like it and want one of your own email me at basketball1324@live.com andwe will work something out

It is too bad you are not in the US. You could then seek out the local Acorn office and they would tell you how to circumvent any legal requirements for small business.

yes you do because its considered a business even though its online.hope this helps.

Wholesalers to use for Ebay? -

I have been searching around a bit and all I can find is crap. You have to pay for all these sites to try and get information. Any good wholesalers out there?

Wholesalers aren t stupid, they do know ebay exists. So the ones who advertise on the internet are not genuine wholesalers, they are the middle man, so you will never find products on the internet from one source, that you can sell at another source such as feebay. If you do find items cheap, the fees on ebay will certainly make it hard to make any kind of profit, or else the wholesalers you find on the internet would already be on there selling the items individually if it were possible to make more money that way. If you want genuine wholesale, you have to go to the source, the source that doesn t advertise on the internet, the source that doesn t know about ebay. I fly to Thailand, costs $1,000 roundtrip. If you re serious about wholesale, then that s what you would do. Go somewhere like that, visit the markets, and make connections. Then when you leave you can work with them and they can send you things on a regular basis. and p.s. ebay is a waste of time. Search for any item on there and go to advanced search. Click on completed listings only to see which items have sold and which ones haven t sold. Its much harder to sell on there now because they made changes last year that kicked lots of powersellers out, which caused lots of their pages to be delisted from google. It s better to just make your own website and use adwords to advertise it.

Which is the best Credit Card processing Company for a small merchant to use? The fees are very high!? -

Online or brick n mortar?Online the cheapest I ve seen is Google Checkout, but to get the best rates you need to be high volume.Brick n mortar varies, but you usually get much better rates with a swiped transaction compared to an online transaction. Usually, your areas largest bank will have the best deal. Chasepaymentech, for example, has good rates for swiped transactions.Best way to lower your fees is to force/require debit card use, as debit transactions are the cheapest.

First Merchant Services offers a Best Rate guarantee. This ensures that you are receiving the best rates and lowest fees available from any payment processor so you can rest assured that you are not overpaying on your credit card rates or fees.

The fees for a small merchant are high because of the low volume of business, I just learned that from http://www.merchantaccountbasics.com .. I d go with paypal or 2checkout until your company gets more business.

Try HSBC, if in india you can try Axis bank card services.

If you owned diamonds would you sell them for cash or would you keep them? -

In the situation i am now with the reduction of the 12-15% in my monthly payment check from January of 2010 and the 2 big loans i pay for my apartment and car i would definitely sell them but this is just me!What i know for a fact is that either if i would sell them or keep them and insurance them in a bank, i would hire a lawyer who i trust 100% to fill all the contracts for me with the lowest possible share like 4% let s say Lol Remember any lawyer from E.U. can do it as far as deal takes place in E.U. ;)God bless you and yours my man ! ( You can call me your slave if you want my man lol j/k)

I would keep them as an investment. Of course, they might also be nice to use in a ring or other piece of jewellery made especially for you!

Keep em. They ll get more valuable as time goes by.

keep

How do companies get supplies? -

I am starting a kitchen appliance company, and was wondering how do I get the materials? I think that big companies, can make and buy there own materials... but I don t have much money because I am just starting out.If anyone can direct me to a metal company, that would be great.PS: If it helps, I need copper, titanium, aluminum, steel.Possibly Gold or Silver

The best source of wholesale and raw materials is trade magazines for your industry. Also contact trade organizations and unions for information.
