I use Ebay for most things that include cameras, watches, clothing of XXL size, and gadgets, only from GB. If you leave Ebay try Gumtree, on that site you can ask for things as well as sell. But be careful as its not as secure as Ebay. One thing about Ebay though is that its got good settlement clauses and you can at least show people up for bad selling or buying if something goes wrong. I have tried Gumtree and got no luck and not even a reply when fiddled.

What did he do for a living before the illness? Is he able to get out and meet with people or is he confined to the house? Maybe he could be a consultant of some sort, such as a small business consultant or management consultant. If he was more hands on, maybe he could repair stuff or create stuff (ie, woodcarving).
