How can this young woman become an entrepreneur? -

I m 25, and really, really want to start my own business. I want a company with a really meaty idea - something I can sink my teeth into. The problem is, I m very creative and feminine, and have focused all of my interests in the performing arts and shopping basically. (ie - Opera, playing the violin, ballet, learning piano, ballroom dancing, tap dancing, musical theater, shopping, clothes, and makeup). Even in college, I studied opera and now I currently work for an opera company on the administrative end of things.Any suggestions?

Since you ve listed the areas you are interested in why not start a business there. Most businesses start very small. You can start by teaching kid s to play instruments. Volunteer to help a grade school music teacher with a concert. Explain to her that you teach kid s to play musical instruments and you would like to volunteer some time in exchange for a chance to meet kid s that want more than the school can provide. You don t have to spend money advertising this way and if the first teacher likes you try helping at other grade schools and keep building your clientel. You can do something similar with dance. You can build this up as big as you want.Good LuckJim

Check out this business film The YES Movie the film producer Louis Lautman interviewed the most innovative and successful men and women under 30 years of age in business today.

About how much money does it cost to start a small restaurant in Florida? -

20000 would give you a cushion and operating cost for three months as long as you started small. you need to advertise, but only smart advertising. Low cost things such as flyers, ballot box dinner give-aways ect. , Look into second hand resturant equipment or possibly leasing. And dont splurge all on location! A great location can help but hard work and integrity goes a long way in business. Put your money in the best product you can offer

How do you open a online store? -

I am located in dixon california. I have gotten a Home occupation permit, Business license, sellers permit. What other kinds of permits do i need to make a online store to sell band a dj gear? There will only be one person running the website which is me. I already have a domain and website name, do i have to register that? Thanks

Looks like you re taking the right steps. The US government has a website listing licensing/permit requirements by city. You can review them under step 3 on the following web page to ensure that you ve got your bases covered. http://search.business.gov/permitme2_0.dIs your website domain name your business name? If you operate as a sole proprietor and are doing business under a business name instead of your real name, you need to register that business. You want to go to your county clerk s office and file a fictitious name statement.

Does any body know the best fee free work at home jobs that are no scams..thanks? -

If you are an accomplished typist - word processor and have recently visited your local city college or university librarian, you can apply as a certified graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for a master or doctoral thesis. The librarian will provide you with a sample of the typing template (i.e., margin settings, font selection, page set up, etc.) in order to complete these projects using Microsoft Word. An average weekend income is about $300-$400 for two days work.Good luck!

What are the legit article writing jobs website where you really earn money? -

StoryMash is legit and my favorite for writing fiction.

Are there any legit quot;work at homequot; jobs out there, such as data entry? -

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

You could start a completely free home based online business.

Im a new retailer and Im selling computers and other electronic online. Is Ebay or Craiglist for me? -

I m a licensed retailer and I sells new stuff from my wholesale warehouse supplier. Would it be better for me to do that business on Ebay, Craiglist or would it be better to do my own business website?

No. Definitely not. Its not wise to buy from resellers. You can order directly in bulk from manufacturers or suppliers. B2B websites are a better options for you. You will find the manufacturers and suppliers with product and contact details from these B2B websites for free. Try http://www.hellotrade.com/business/compu and http://www.digitivity.com/

Rather than asking us, do a few clicks and find out for yourself. Go to eBay, log in, then do a search for exactly the types of products you ll be selling. Next look on the left sidebar and click to see the Completed listings. You will then see a list of all of the items that ended in the last 2 weeks. At the top, set it to show Highest first . The sales prices you see with prices in green will tell you about the maximum you can expect to get for the product there. You have no way of checking Craigslist s existing sales prices, so the best way would be to test. As a retail business, you should get used to doing comparative market testing. You might sell a set number of units on Craigslist and eBay, then compare how well price/post time works for you. Some products do very well on Craigslist. You can survey existing listings to get a rough idea of what existing sellers think they can get for them. But you don t know what sold, so you ll have to find out for yourself.Since the web is a digital medium, there s a huge market for computers and electronics, but it s extremely competitive. I find it difficult to sell many items without pricing pretty low.I would absolutely suggest setting up your own website, even if you primarily sell through eBay, etc. At the minimum, you can set up a small site with an embed of your eBay listings. You might want to look into SEO (search engine optimization) for ways to drive traffic to your site. Also, you want to start an email newsletter and build an email list. These are absolutely gold for an online business. Ii usually takes at least many months to build traffic to a side, though, so eBay and Craigslist are probably your best bets to start. The trick with websites is to find a niche that your business can serve. Eventually, your site might do most of your sales and just use offsite listings for advertising.

There are Community Forums on eBay where you can ask this question of other retailers in a similar business as yours that can give you excellent answers. There are a lot of people on eBay who have been there, done that, and have a ton of experience. Remember that eBay and PayPal both charge a fairly hefty percentage of your ending sale price so keep that in mind. I m not sure how Craigslist feels about retailers using the site but I do see a lot of retailers selling on there. You should check out their rules but I think they re pretty lax and leave it up to the community to settle things between themselves.

Have you looked into ebid.net yet?Free listing, very low final value fees. Loads more flexible than ebay, and clamps down on scammers quicklyhttp://www.helium.com/items/1662609-ebay
