I want to start a website but I have no idea where to begin? -

I have been trying to gather information on starting a website for my business, but I am still totally lost. I want to create a website to sell items that I make. How do I go about doing this? And what does it cost?Do I have to get my website name first? And then what after that? I am not very good with computers so I need very basic instructions on what to do and how to go about it.Thank you.

try Ebay first

I wanted to create my own website to promote products. I tried to build one using how to build a websites . They were easy to use but they didnt really do what I needed and like you said the control panel was way confusing.I found this place on Facebook. They guaranteed I could build a website after I used them. It was actually pretty cool. They were able to log right onto my computer and show me everything I needed. It took about 2 hours. When I was done I could build just about any kind of website I wanted.(I have found website building is very addictive)I keep making page after page and can customize it anyway I want.It was only $75.00 and they were very professional. I think they were just starting out. The guy that helped me was really nice. He explained everything he was doing while I watched from my computer screen. Then I took over and he watched and talked me through all the steps.

I m not sure what items you make, but if it s anything craft related at all, try etsy.com It is a very reputable website for people to sell and buy crafts they make. With the info you ve given us, I wouldn t suggest a a website just to sell things. You ll be 9,976th in search results, and unless you sell things that are truly unique, people won t find your site. Also, I know I d feel more comfortable buying from a seller on eBay, Etsy, etc. before buying from a private site.

Depending on what kind of computer you use there are many different way to get a website started. If you use a Mac, then iWeb is the best and easiest way to get started. If you use a PC then there are many different drag and drop website programs that you can use. Having a Domain Name isn t necessary to have at first but thinking of one that you are sure that you can live with for a while is a good idea. You will however, need to have one when you decide to publish your site.I hope this helps

go to www.smallbizztools101.com enter your name check out the website and then sign up to watch the free on demand video that goes over marketing your business and gives help on building a website. check it out

Since your not very computer savvy you should just seek out a web designer they can be a bit pricey but since your running a business and you will need there help a lot they may work with u on the price. Your business name will most likely be the name of your website. If your looking for a price range i would look towards the 1500 range for professional work.

Beach Bar - Establishment help? -

Hello All,Im a young man looking to open up my own Beach bar in Zante. But, I am not sure at all how to go along this line and do it. I need some advise or help. what do I do first? How much money are we looking at to start? buy, rent property? Legal matters? etc?............ Any help about how i should go along this would be Fantastic! It has been one of my hidden dreams to own my own bar in Greese and I know I would be amazing at it, but its just getting there that I am not a 100% sure of.Regards

As a starting point, visit the Business Link website. Although it s aimed at businesses in the UK, it will help you put your ideas together in the right order. The questions you ask about how much it will cost are not easy to answer. It depends on whether you re going to buy somewhere and fit it out from scratch, take over an existing place and what size it is. It further depends on what the extent of the services are that you re going to provide - just drinks, some food, barbecue etc.You will need a lawyer out there to help you. Make sure you find an English speaking one if you don t speak Greek well.Good luck!

Advice on starting a business for my son? -

My son has had a business idea his friend used to run a business delivering milk to Commercial premises ie (Shops, Pubs, Hotels, Cafes, ect) His friend has since give up the business and moved abroad. My son seems to think that he had a cracking business so he is thinking about doing the same thing he has asked me to lend his 10,000 to get started I would love to set him up but I would like to now more about it ie (How much it will cost him to buy the milk and how much he could sell it to the corner shops for) as he dose not seem to now a lot about it but on the other hand he is a hard worker and I think if we new a bit more about the trade he would make a really good go of it and I would back him all the way ANY ADVICE WELCOME THE MORE INFO YOU HAVE THE BETTER.

Go to the local dairies and ask. They probably supply the delivery vehicles on a hire basis. I expect your son s mate gave it up because his income was declining. And it probably still is. You need a business plan.

I think having a third party resource that could sit down with both of you and map out the statistics, costs etc to see if it really is a viable business. This way the pressure is not coming from you and the 3rd party may provide some insights you son has not seen. Have your son get a business plan in place and then re-consider the investment. [Along with that, there needs to be a re-payment plan in place]

10,000 is a huge amount, apart from a van what would the rest be for. You will find that the market for milk is stitched up. The people we used for our catering business could not make any money from it as the larger firms could charge lower prices. As a starter ask at a few shops or restaurants and see who their suppliers are. I think you will find it will be one of several large companies who buy milk by the thousand gallon and re bottle it themselves.

Why are you asking this question. If your son is serious about starting up this business then HE will go and find out all these facts and figures, If he wants you to invest in his business then HE has to come up with a good business plan. He should not be asking you for money unless he can prove on paper that the figures add up, and no investor with any sense would take on a project without the facts and figures being presented to him. Being a hard worker is no guarantee of success if the figures simply do not add up. He should have come up with a detailed business plan before he asked you to even consider backing him. If he won t go and find out these details then he is not committed to the idea. Don t risk your hard-earned cash on this venture unless he is prepared to do the leg-work. It is very easy to risk someone else s money!

Suggest to your son that he contacts his local Business Link for free help and advice on starting his business. They can help with things like his business plan, which is essential before starting any venture and particularly if you re asking someone to invest in it.As has been said elsewhere, 10k seems a lot for what he s proposing to do. As part of his plan he does need to show how he s going to repay that money. It s also strongly advisable that you set up a formal agreement between the two of you, if he does go ahead and you lend him some money to start. It should set out exactly who has put up what, the effects on ownership of the business, what happens if there s a dispute of any sort and what happens in the event of the business failing. Most disputes in business are about money so it s easier to have an agreement in place before you start rather than trying to thrash things out in a crisis. (My husband and I have had agreements between ourselves in all our business ventures.)As has also been said elsewhere, if he s going to run this business, he should be the one doing the legwork and finding out about it. I fired my son from one of our businesses when he wasn t pulling his weight.

Need a idea? any suggestions? starting a business!? -

Alright so, i have already decided on starting my own business. I want something that i can start out small and then expand when it starts to grow. I havent gone to college, but i know a lot about running a business, bookkeeping, taxes, payroll, etc. All i really need is an idea of what kind of business to start? any suggestions, ideas, help?

You can join a business and your job is to apply yourself and do what they teach you to do. Do not spend money to join any such company. Many are FREE with NO cost to join and NO fees to pay ever! Your only cost factor would be advertising and getting a website hosted and domain name. Many legitimate online businesses will provide with all the tools you need for FREE. Even if you cannot make a website or blog, they create one for you because THEY only make MONEY when YOU make MONEY.Then you get duplication from a simple system for success to teach your people to duplicate what you were taught to do. Your job is to mentor your people or get them active with the training calls and support team as you guide them along.

I have two suggestions that I hope will be very beneficial to you. I m not sure on what your are trying to start a on or offline business, but these ideas are for an online business. The first suggestion is to establish a business around something that you are very passionate about or something that you love to do. You will have a hard time occurring huge profits if you are going to operate a business around something you hate doing. The next step is to determine your market or even if you have a market for the given business or product. Sample ways of determining your market would be to use goggle. Type in the idea that you are considering starting and determine how many hundred, thousand, or millions of searches appear in the results section. If you conclude that a lot of search results are available then you have a profitable product.

I would say it depends on where you live. I would go out and explorer. See if there is something missing. Something you know if you was to place this kind of business here. People would flock to it. For example: I am in Richmond, Va. All of the movie theaters here are far away from the inner city. Some very smart people built a movie close in the city. They are always packed cause they are close and there is no competition. Plus it has been years since we have had a movie theater. Now we do and they are banking.

Can i have the word quot;foundationquot; in my for-profit business? -

i do apologize for asking this question because it was asked on this forum before. it wasnt really answered. i live in las vegas, nevadajireh, 22

You could call it that but it would obviously be wrong. Foundations are organizations established and funded by endowments typically associated with some type of charity or public service. Although there s no law against using the word foundation in your company s name, the common usage is pretty strictly followed so almost anyone seeing your company name would think it was a true foundation. In the long run, I think this would cause confusion and even possible ill-will with potential customers. Also, I think the name might actually hurt your business since some would dismiss it as a charity. I would avoid using it but if you really want to, there s nothing stopping you. Good luck..

What are some work from home pc jobs that you dont have 2 pay 4??? -

some job that you can work from home thats free

Amazon has a site you can make money at https://www.mturk.com/mturk/welcome People pay you through Amazon to click links and make forum comments and things like that.

Watch craigslist and your local newspaper, but if the company isn t one you can drive to and walk in the door, it s most likely a scam. And if you do find one, drive to them and walk in the door and make sure they are legitimate. Anything that requires you to pay to do it, is a scam, plain and simple.
