What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of owning your own salon? -

Such as Personal, financial, short term and long term.

Owning the business (as opposed to being an employee or renting a booth in another salon) gives you control over the direction of the business, responsibility for the employees or contractors, and the ability to increase your personal wealth. The downside is that you own all the risk -- financial and otherwise. With good planning, you can manage most of the risks of owning a business. If you are thinking of owning your own branded salon vs. owning a franchised salon, the freedom to manage the business your way and the freedom from franchise fees, mandated pricing, and other franchise limitations generally makes the better choice to own your own salon (all other things being equal, such as startup capital).

Business ideas for 2010? -

I m planning to start and run a small business preferably retail business for 2010. I had enough working with someone and wants to have more freedom in my career. Any business ideas that i could start for 2010? It doesn t have to be home business, low to moderate start up cost, and fair to high profit return.Serious answers only. thanks

If you like the idea of running a retail business then of course you would have to conduct market research, what is being very popular nowadays? who will you be competing against? how big is the group of people who might be interested in being your customers? what is selling crazy these days?how good is the location of your business?for me I d say it would be difficult to suggest any idea without any reference to your current position, but I can say that electronics are selling crazy these days.

Hi Phoc,Planning is key. In order to plan effectively, you must conduct some research. What do you need to provide your services? Who will you provide them to? Who are you competing against? What makes you better; gives you an edge ? How are you going to reach your prospects/potential clients? Answering these kinds of questions gives you a basis to begin a business plan. You can download my free research outline at www.abusinessmentor.comIt should certainly guide you in the right direction.Good Luck!

So is there really any online or at home businesses that you can make REAL money from? I see all these info? -

commercials on TV all the time. Are any of them for real? Or are they all as fake as the people on them? I d love to be able to stay home and help with the children. But, I have to work like everyone else in America. But, I d love to know if any in-home businesses are actually out there and if they make as much as the TV commercials are putting out there. Thank you

Be very careful about ANYTHING that promises you ll get rick quick or get rich while doing nothing! You can guarantee that it s a scam. There are a lot of great at-home businesses out there that cater to at-home moms. I m a consultant for Scentsy and I have found it to be rewarding both financially and personally.I hope you find something that works well for you and your family. Good luck!Lisa

I think the key is if it looks too good to be true, it is . I work from home for a great company, who pays well, but it is work! It takes dedication and a willingness to accept training! No one is going to pay you if you don t put in the hours! In order to be successful, at any home position, you must be responsible and driven! Most at home businesses fail because they are not treated as a business! Many people do not want to take the blame for their own failures and instead want to blame the company they worked for. There is no such thing as getting rich quick !That said: Look for a company with a long history and track record with the BBB. With the economy and unemployment where it is, there are new businesses popping up all over. These companies may start up, take your money/time, and close shortly after!Speak with people who are working for that company and don t commit until you have received information on tools and training! There should be training!People are making money from home, but they are dedicated and hard working and did not make the decision on a whim!Good luck!

here is some best ant trusted links. may be it ll match what r u for?simply copy and paste the address and step into a new trusted zone..I had spend a lot of precious hours in finding these link ....Happy to HELP.........Good Luck... try thishttp://sites.google.com/site/princerajclub/

Absolutely NOT. If there were, there would be no traffic! There would also be no one on unemployment.

I wouldn t try any of them that promise that you will get rich quick . There are opportunities out there to earn a good income from home marketing products for a company as an independent distributor/rep. It does take an investment in money, time and effort to build a customer base. Expect that there will be a modest start up cost for an initial supply of products to show people and use yourself to have personal experience with the products. You may also need to purchase some marketing materials like catalogs, brochures, business cards, etc. You may also have a small monthly fee for your company website or for a small monthly supply of products.Treat your business like a real business with a plan, regular work hours, weekly and monthly goals and persistent effort to reach your goals. If you are new to having a business take advantage of all of the training the company offers, read books that are recommended and learn everything you can about your new profession as a business owner. There are a lot of different products and companies out there - it can be a little overwhelming to choose, so here are some things you might want to consider:1. Pick products that you personally like and will use - it makes it easier to talk to other people about them, plus you will usually also get a good discount which helps your budget if you would be buying similar products anyway!2. Pick products that are consumable and most people buy several times a year to help build a large customer base with repeat sales.3. Research the company carefully. It s better to get involved with something that is growing and doesn t have too many reps, but is on solid financial footing. Is it family oriented so someday your kids can help? 4. Look at the compensation plan. Is it easy to understand? What is your profit margin? Sometimes companies that offer free or low start-up costs pay a very low commission/profit percentage.5. Are there monthly or quarterly sales/purchase quotas? Will you be comfortable with that amount? For some people it is a motivation while for others it becomes a burden unless you use the products yourself or give them as gifts.6. What are the marketing methods allowed? Are you required to market through home parties or do you have the freedom to market the way that works for you? Make sure that the approved company marketing methods will fit what you want to do.7. Watch the market trends. Right now there is increasing interest is in green, natural products made in the USA from renewable resources.8. Is there good training and support provided by the company and your sponsor? This will really help you get off to a good start.Feel free to contact me.

I suggest you stay away from anything you see on the infomercials. For legitimate work from home jobs, check out the Telework Coalition. They are a non-profit organization focused on helping businesses to establish work at home programs. There is a big trend in the contact center industry referred to as home-shoring. Basically, it enables you to work as a contact center employee from home, usually, using your own computer equipment. Depending upon the company you work for, your hours can be extremely flexible. I hope this helps. I work from home and wouldn t trade it for the world!Rebecca

Make what we can sell ,not sell wat we can make? -

Make what we can sell ,not sell wat we can make?

Makes sense. If you make something that no one wants to buy, you are going to have a hard time making any profit. If you make something that you know people want to buy, you will have more sales.

How do I keep a large amount of water hot? I am start a street vending business selling hot tea.? -

I will need to have a lot of hot water ready to serve. I have thought about a big thermos. The biggest I have seen was like 64 oz. If I sell 12 oz. cups. 64 oz will not last long. Have any suggestions on what I can do? I have thought about getting a generator but, would be nice if I don t have to get one.

They have those warmers that you can use that have candles under them to keep them warm. Actually, they are like butane or something. You could get some of those and then put water in them, and put thermos s in those to keep them warm, or something larger. Best wishes to you and your business.

Why not go for a very small investment in your new business and put a propane tank and a couple of single burners on a small table? Each burner can hold a 12 quart kettle of water or larger. These can be found at a sports outlet. The burners are very inexpensive, also at the outlet. A thermos won t hold heated water indefinitely, you ll want to be able to control the end result.Len

Do i need to add Air Mail sticker if i use square white sticky label from post office? -

Is it true that when you send letter with square white sticky label stamp printed by staff at post office, you dont need air mail sticker as the sticky label already has a code for air mail on it. And what is the correct postage price for sending a large letter which in uk costs 61p. I ask this because everytime i go to my 3 different nearby post offices, they always charge me different prices, one says its 56p, one says, 81p, one says 1.21 and one even says 1.35 which even i know is for posting outside of europe. No post office staff is properly trained to be aware of the actual cost. Large letter here costs only 61p which has 25 grams weight so how much within europe?THANKS IN ADVANCEThanks in advance.

No letter needs an Air Mail sticker - but it helps ensure it gets treated properly. The PO give them away free or you can just write Air Mail on your letter if it s going to an english speaking country or, in your case, Air Mail - Par Avion will be recognised in most countries.25g to Europe is 81p - that is for a letter. If you are sending goods then they may charge you 1.21 which is the small packet rate. Tell them you want to send it letter rate - and if they say you can only send letters by letter rate tell them letter rate goes up to 2000g and do they really think anyone writes a 2kg letter!?
