commercials on TV all the time. Are any of them for real? Or are they all as fake as the people on them? I d love to be able to stay home and help with the children. But, I have to work like everyone else in America. But, I d love to know if any in-home businesses are actually out there and if they make as much as the TV commercials are putting out there. Thank you
Be very careful about ANYTHING that promises you ll get rick quick or get rich while doing nothing! You can guarantee that it s a scam. There are a lot of great at-home businesses out there that cater to at-home moms. I m a consultant for Scentsy and I have found it to be rewarding both financially and personally.I hope you find something that works well for you and your family. Good luck!Lisa
I think the key is if it looks too good to be true, it is . I work from home for a great company, who pays well, but it is work! It takes dedication and a willingness to accept training! No one is going to pay you if you don t put in the hours! In order to be successful, at any home position, you must be responsible and driven! Most at home businesses fail because they are not treated as a business! Many people do not want to take the blame for their own failures and instead want to blame the company they worked for. There is no such thing as getting rich quick !That said: Look for a company with a long history and track record with the BBB. With the economy and unemployment where it is, there are new businesses popping up all over. These companies may start up, take your money/time, and close shortly after!Speak with people who are working for that company and don t commit until you have received information on tools and training! There should be training!People are making money from home, but they are dedicated and hard working and did not make the decision on a whim!Good luck!

Absolutely NOT. If there were, there would be no traffic! There would also be no one on unemployment.
I wouldn t try any of them that promise that you will get rich quick . There are opportunities out there to earn a good income from home marketing products for a company as an independent distributor/rep. It does take an investment in money, time and effort to build a customer base. Expect that there will be a modest start up cost for an initial supply of products to show people and use yourself to have personal experience with the products. You may also need to purchase some marketing materials like catalogs, brochures, business cards, etc. You may also have a small monthly fee for your company website or for a small monthly supply of products.Treat your business like a real business with a plan, regular work hours, weekly and monthly goals and persistent effort to reach your goals. If you are new to having a business take advantage of all of the training the company offers, read books that are recommended and learn everything you can about your new profession as a business owner. There are a lot of different products and companies out there - it can be a little overwhelming to choose, so here are some things you might want to consider:1. Pick products that you personally like and will use - it makes it easier to talk to other people about them, plus you will usually also get a good discount which helps your budget if you would be buying similar products anyway!2. Pick products that are consumable and most people buy several times a year to help build a large customer base with repeat sales.3. Research the company carefully. It s better to get involved with something that is growing and doesn t have too many reps, but is on solid financial footing. Is it family oriented so someday your kids can help? 4. Look at the compensation plan. Is it easy to understand? What is your profit margin? Sometimes companies that offer free or low start-up costs pay a very low commission/profit percentage.5. Are there monthly or quarterly sales/purchase quotas? Will you be comfortable with that amount? For some people it is a motivation while for others it becomes a burden unless you use the products yourself or give them as gifts.6. What are the marketing methods allowed? Are you required to market through home parties or do you have the freedom to market the way that works for you? Make sure that the approved company marketing methods will fit what you want to do.7. Watch the market trends. Right now there is increasing interest is in green, natural products made in the USA from renewable resources.8. Is there good training and support provided by the company and your sponsor? This will really help you get off to a good start.Feel free to contact me.
I suggest you stay away from anything you see on the infomercials. For legitimate work from home jobs, check out the Telework Coalition. They are a non-profit organization focused on helping businesses to establish work at home programs. There is a big trend in the contact center industry referred to as home-shoring. Basically, it enables you to work as a contact center employee from home, usually, using your own computer equipment. Depending upon the company you work for, your hours can be extremely flexible. I hope this helps. I work from home and wouldn t trade it for the world!Rebecca
