How do you stop sales calls at your business? -

There is only one way... You either hire a receptionist (phone person) to screen them, do it yourself (which did nothing for you) or deal with it. If I had $1 for every time a merchant called my business to handle my credit cards alone, I would have more money then Microsoft.

Is that really a good idea?I ve improved my business on three occasions of answering sales calls

You put a sign up near the door that says All sale people seen by appointment only.

I need a name for my deli that my brother and I are opening, any suggestions? -

How do i start a blog site? -

how much does it cost

Go to http://www.wordpress.com/ It costs nothing, there are tens of thousands of themes, plugins, etc., that you can use, and it s pretty easy to get going. If you later decide to run it on your own site, you can download the blog itself from http://www.wordpress.org/ and run it on your own site. Same software, maybe 15 minutes to move it over with no change..

I have worked as a fearures writer for a variety of regional publucations and would like to highlight postongs concentrating on urban legends and original vampire pieces.

Advertising Moving Business? -

I recently decided to try and start my 2 man moving business. We are not licensed or insured or anything yet. To get things started I put an ad on craigslist two weeks ago and Im going to put one on the yellowpages site also. Craigslist has only got me two jobs so far. I don t know where else to advertise for free where people likely to move soon would see it. (thought about real estate agencies, but I m not licensed so I dont think theyll recomend me..i am the cheapest around though).

talk to real estate agentsNetwork with them and tell. When they get a seller, ask them to suggest you guys as movers and you will give them a % of the cost

Finding the right home business opportunity is a challenge. There are many people who have been searching for the right online opportunity but never really did find what they want. If you really want to find the best home based business internet work opportunity, you should do some research. A good source of info for online business are the entrepreneur magazines. You could subscribe to one or two types of them and learn about setting up an online business. They usually offer some very good insights when it comes to setting up your business. Another way for you to find the right home based internet business opportunity is to ask for referrals from friends and relatives. If you know someone who has an online business, they are one of your best sources of info. The good thing about asking for their advice is that they already have experience and could help you out or give you some tips on how to get started. If you don t know anyone who has an online business, you could join forums as well. There are online communities that discuss working from home and some are willing to share their knowledge. To find one of these, you can just simply launch a search by typing the keywords. In a matter of minutes, you can probably find several posts.I ve been working at home for over a year now. I knew absolutely nothing about it either but I stumbled upon something called Maverick Money Makers. I saw it online and on television, so I gave it a shot and it has worked nicely for me. It is very informative and basically walks you through everything step-by-step. It does cost to become a member and have access to all of this material but I m pretty sure there is a 90 day money back guarantee if you decided you weren t interested.

That other post is obviously spam. You need to look into what is called bum marketing . Just do a search for it on google. It really works and I m not selling anything.

Making money selling on Ebay? -

Alright, so I need some help getting started selling stuff on Ebay. I don t have anything at home I can sell, but as far as I ve gotten, I m pretty sure the point is to buy stuff cheap and sell them for a profit, right? So how do I start this? How much money should I look at investing? And, although I know this isn t a get rich over night thing, how much money can I expect to make? Also, any added suggestions would be nice! Thanks!

My nephew makes a living doing this and does okay. I think I d enjoy doing this too if I didn t need my day job.He goes to a bunch of garage sales and estate sales, with his trailer, looking for bargains. This takes a practiced eye and early on he ended up buying a lot of junk he couldn t move. Just a cost of the education. He also goes to mini-storage auctions to buy the contents of units that people have abandoned or not paid the rent. Again, a ton of unusable stuff but he has hit some big winners to make up for it.Things he can t sell on eBay for enough to make up for the fees and shipping hassles he will put on Craigslist. If they don t sell there in a reasonble time, he gives them away on Freecycle. Whatever is left he hauls to the dump. His philosopy is to not hold on to something too long. If he can t make a quick profit, he tries to break even or take just a very small loss to get rid of it. Freecycling lets him get the unsold stuff to people who could use it.What he has done lately is go to some pawn shops and make notes of items and prices. He then researches completed auctions on eBay for similar items to see what they are going for. If he senses he can make a profit, he ll go back to the pawn shop and bargain for the item, then go sell it.There are companies that will sell you cheap imported stuff at a discount that you can then sell on eBay, but you are competing with a lot of other people doing the same thing. My nephew loves the wheeling and dealing locally, meeting people while doing this, and he has found some super deals like this. We refer to him as Fred Sanford now and then.

Hi, there is always stuff at home to sell - music, books, DVDS, clothes, shoes, linen, anything. Instead of buying on ebay to resell on Ebay, why don t you hit your local garage sales (very early on Sat. mornings - check your Sat. paper) and op shops for items that you will get cheap and sell for a profit. Also do your homework and check out what other people are selling on Ebay and how much interest there is in certain itmes/ what they sold for, etc. You could also ask your Aunties, neighbours, etc if you can take unwanted goods off their hands.

Take a look at the snowboard market.Buy them on craigslist and really low-ball the seller. Usually they are trying to dump it quickly for some cash, so if they ask $70 and you offer $35-$40, they might take it.If they do, put it up on ebay for $70-$100easily get a 250% return on investment (ROI), but you need to have negotiating experience (or skill)

I m going through the same dilema , I found this should answer all your questions , an ebay money guide written by a new powerseller .Cheers http://ebayshortcut.blogspot.com

Seller is threatening me to claim ebay for Unpaid item for the item I paid.? -

I had to file an dispute for the item not received on Paypal last month that I didn t receive an item. The seller made up all excuses you can imagine like she went through divorce, next day she had a car accident... and so on. But I closed the case before Paypal decides to pay me a refund because she finally sent me an item after 25 days later I paid. Now this seller is threatening me that she is going to file unpaid item for this item because she believes I didn t pay. I gave her transaction ID from Paypal, date and everything, she is still threatening me she is gonna report to ebay and telling me I am a thief. I have 100% positive feedbacks and I never steal anybody s money. Should I just ignore this seller or what should I do? I left a neutral feedback even though this seller took 25 days to ship this item and she is still so mad about it??

Try the link below right away, Ebay has a process where you can file a complaint. At least you will be on record. If the link doesn t work do a search for ebay disputes. Good luck to you!

sounds like she s overwhelmed and sometimes where those kinds of people are involved and they have intentions to do harm they will. Expect to get a bad rating on eBay. Ignoring won t help and all you can do is continue to say about the ID from Paypal and tell her how to get her money from paypal . If I m not mistaken it doesn t automatically go into your account, you have to go into Paypal and get your money yourself. Perhaps she doesn t know how to do that...inform her.

ignore her. if the transaction is shown on your ebay/Paypal history, the seller will not win a dispute. if ebay sends you an email, cite the Paypal transaction number.

Your bank records/paypal records prove you have paid. I d call someone from ebay and let them know about this women. Hopefully this would clear up the situation and also prevent her from doing the same to others.....good luck!

Do you still have your confirmation where you paid her. If so send her a copy and you MUST keep a copy. Plus you can go to your online paypal account and check the status of your payment and print that too. That way you will have proof if she tries to file a claim. Of course if you leave netural feedback she ll be mad. This affects her status. That may be the whole problem with this. She is made because she did not get a good review and now you wants to ruin yours. Check on e-bay for information on what you should do. maybe if you can contact them and ask if you need to send in your proof of payment to her that way e-bay want do anything to harm your acount. Not sure how to look that up on e-bay but I m sure you can find out information maybe if you go to help section or account section. Good Luck.

What can we do to help small business? -

1. what can we do to help small businesses get health insurance cost less?2. what can we do to help small Business tax problem?3. how can we help small businesses gas and fuel problems?

My suggestion is trying to absorb as much information as you can before making up your mind, here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.infois a good one.

I would suggest the following. a. Spend Analysis - Even if a detailed spend analysis is not possible, an analysis of which vendors are used, whether they offer discounts or subsidies to small businesses, the nature of materials used and whether the business could do with a less expensive cost.b. Have a chartered accountant look at and analyse your personnel, infra and communication costs. Look for unnecessary and hidden costs which disappear as general expenses and keep a keen eye on the depreciation of assets. That being said, let s answer your questions. 1. See if the health insurance company will give you cheaper insurance without a loss in cover if you and several other businesses approach them together. The logic is that if you give them more customers together, they give you a discount. Does your insurance company have special rates for small business? This is one for the lawyers: Are there laws which govern insurance cover for small businesses? Knowledge of them could be critical in obtaining cheaper health cover. Also check if the insurance you choose can be custom fit to your needs. 2. For tax problems, I have simple advice. KNOW THE LAW. If you are able to get legal advice, do so. A good lawyer and accountant can identify tax-saving practices for you. 3. I m not sure what you mean here, so I assume you mean gasoline expenses. If you re spending a lot on gas every month, analyse the reason. Is it routes which need replan? Or perhaps cheaper fuel may be obtained if you can share services with other small businesses.
