Quick question, my brother and I want to start a business, where do we start? -

we are in south florida, where do we go to get incorporated?, how much is the process?, for a simple small business should we go llc,c-corp, or s-corp?, also how do we lock down our name?

You can start without incorporating, which might be a good idea if you re starting small. You can file a DBA, which stands for Doing Business As. Basically you can name your business and get a tax ID number so that you don t have to share your social security number in order to get paid.You can incorporate online or file a DBA online (see links) for an affordable price. Many of these online services also include additional perks that can be helpful to starting out.

I d say fifty bucks to start if it is in good condition. There are already a few on there for pretty cheap so fifty would be a good starting point. Good luck!

Right now with the present economic situation I can only suggest two things-- Contact every architectural firm in the area and offer your team for projects they might have up and coming. Sell your team as what they are- the best, and willing to work for shelled peanuts (ie cheap)- The other suggestion is working on a book, cheap low income house planes that you can publish and sell in one of those catalog books of plans. My wife use to buy them way back, there was generally one house plan per book page.
