How to let the customers know which of my store he bought from? -

Hi, anyone any ideas about this problem? i have 5 online book stores now, just different store have different policy. so every time when my customers got their books, they are confused about which of my store they bought. what can i do in the parcel to let them know this clearly? i decided to put a card which listed all of my store names in every parcel. how about i write something in this card like this dear, the following are all my stores, you can check in these stores to see which store you bought from me is that better? (sorry for my poor english) thanks in advance for any help best wishes

When I sell something from one of my stores, I include a card with their order saying which store they got the product from. The card is printed with all the names of 3 of my stores and what type of goods are sold in each, each store name has a box next to it and I make a check mark in the box in bright red ink showing which one they bought from. The card also has a message thanking them and asking them to keep the card for at least 30 days in case they have any problem so they can easily contact us to help solve the problem. That way they know where their money went and are able to check out the other 2 to see of there is something in them they might be interested in. Have gotten some really good feedback from customers by doing that as it is easy and they don t get confused.

When they purchase the item the confirmation email should state which store it was bought from. There should also be a seperate barcode numbering system for each site or something in your website software (algorithm) that defines and assigns the data to a specific website. The database will then send the confirmation email with the correct store named. As long as your policies are listed on each website legally your ok. BUT in BOLD somewhere where all can see on EACH website you should list all the websites and state that EACH WEBSITE HAS A DIFFERENT POLICY SO PLEASE READ. That might help angry customers calm down or limit them.Easy answer? Just make a universal policy thats cohesive to all your sites needs. When someone SUBMITS the order for transmission a popup should cover the screen and explain that:THIS SITE HAS 4 OTHER SISTER SITES. THEY ALL HAVE DIFFERENT POLICIES. PLEASE REVIEW THE POLICY FOR THIS SITE. CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE TRANSACTION OR CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE TRANSACTION AND HAVE THE POLICY FOR THIS SITE EMAILED TO YOU.Good luck..

What are the legalities of opening an online business in lincoln, ne? -

is there a license or anything i need to buy? do i have to worry about paying in taxes or anything? is there anything that i need to know that i didnt mention yet? this is going to be just a regular website where im reselling products that i buy wholesale from a manufacturer overseas. i may also sell on ebay and craigslist and maybe going door to door too but I am for sure going to sell on my own website as well.

Talk to the Small Business Administration. They will help you make a successful business plan and tell you what permits are needed for Lincoln. They will also help you research the import duties and legalities involved if you are buying directly from an overseas source.Best of luck.

How do you start a business? -

I want to start a business in the next couple of years, but how do I start a business selling recreational vehicles?

you need to go to the court house and obtain a permit or license. talk to them, they ll tell you everything you need to know.

After years of trying and always wanting to find and grow a successful business, the so called secrets to success are so simple as to be embarrassing when you write them down. Anyway I am way past the stage of being embarrassed so here are my rules for running a successful business.Rule Number 1Is there a market for what you are proposing to sell - recreational vehicles?Don t listen to friends or family, they will generally agree with you out of politeness. Do some research on the streets, at work, at clubs, social events. In your specific case I would talk to sporting clubs and try to find out where they buy their stuff now?Talk to at least 500 people and more if you can. Don t ask them would they like to see a store or have a store like you suggest. Ask them this one important question? If there was a store, would you be be prepared to buy something? When you have finished this survey, you will know if there really is a market. Please interpret the research honestly and don t pretend to yourself there is a market when none actually exists. For example if they are currently buying say on eBay at cheap prices, how will you compete with that?Be very honest at this stage, it will save you a fortune.Rule Number 2Work out your overheads - ALL of them and don t try cutting corners. Lease of the shop, rates, taxes, lighting, heating, air conditioning, stock, staff, theft, security, your wages, advertising, time spent with suppliers, payment terms with suppliers, travel, expenses, overdrafts, loans, personal equity and there are more.Work them all out and don t compromise because costs NEVER go away.Rule Number 3Simple as this may seem revenue less costs is profit. Revenue in truth is meaningless or as they say revenue for show profit for sanity. It doesn t matter how much you turnover if it doesn t cover your costs. Work out your break even point. It s easy to do.Buy a football top at $30 Sell a football top at $50. You make $20. How many of those do you have to sell to cover your costs of say $0.2m dollars a year? 10,000 is a lot of tops so can you shift 200 of those a week?I know it is more complicated than that but you have to work out what the cost price and the retail price is for your line of products, and then do a forecast as to what sales you think you need to do. That will get you a break even point, and anything over that is profit. If so how much would they be prepared to spend a year on goods like this?Rule Number 4Do a proper business plan which is the most annoying thing in the world to do. In fact it s a pain in the rear but without something written down you won t ever know the truth. In Ireland where I live 3 out of every 4 start up business fails for this very reason. No research, no business plan and no planning.Follow these 4 rules and be honest with yourself. Rule 1 covers the market and the competition, rule 2 deals with the bit no-one really works through in detail. Rule 3 is find your break even point and Rule 4 applies only if you have done everything before it.If you do and things look negative stop it right there and kill the idea stone dead.If on the other hand it looks good, in other words there is a market, there is competition but you can compete, you know and understand your costs, you have your break even point, done a business plan and then done your planning, good luck and really go for it.Best single tip, start with the end in mind!

Do the things cowgirl suggested and also talk to someone who is already doing this, preferably in a location on the other side of town or even further so that you would not be in direct competition with them. (By the way, the courthouse might not be able to tell you EVERYTHING you need to know.)Also, you could try to get a job at such a business, work there for a few years, then branch out on your own.

I am concidering a sandwich business from home in Michigan. I would like to start ASAP. How do I begin? -

I have heard of similar home businesses and am a little confused on info I get. Some info is as simple as just register and others are more in depth. Of course I would like the simple route.

michigan?i heard noone there has a job,how would they pay for your sandwiches...?

Mary. I would not worry about that small stuff.work on selling your idea and product. you can be a sole proprietor until you get big enough.first step is to go get some customers. you need sandwhiches that are different than others. Why will we want to buy your sandwhiches vs the thousand already out there?

Cheap business ideas for auto mechanic shop? -

my husband is a mechanic and we are trying to start his own shop. I need cheap but effective ideas for promoting his shop

There are a number of things to do that are low to no cost other than time to help you determine what to do for a business. There are a few things to think about.1) What is his specialty? Find out who your competition if any in this specialty.2) If there is a lot of competition you will need to determine what will set you apart. Maybe you can add other specialties or specific brands (Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus) or types (German, Japaneese, or European)3) Before going too far determine the cost of insurance and bonding sometimes they surprise people. 4) If possible get references and customer interest.5) Once you determine these do a Google search to find additional information. One good information site is the SBA. Good luck3) If there
