Any good DVDs on how to run a farm? -

Anybody know of any good DVDs on how to start and run a farm? Needs to have a good amount of info on how/where to start/obtain a farm, and then how to maintain it and turn enough profit to pay for itself. Thanks.

Well if you re the owner, what do you expect to feed, clothe, and house yourself on if not profit?

Otherwise they would be letting the business use their money for free.If the business is privately owned and operated, the business owner wants a return on his investment of time, money and effort. Otherwise, there is no point in working.If you own and operate a bakery as an individual, the profit is your income.

Web design/development company name.....? -

K so I need some name ideas, for a web design company I intend on starting over the next few years..I really want to avoid the names that have design in them, abc desgin etc. I want something classy, sophisticated, and modern....

I am in the same business. When I decided to quit my job and become self-employed, I had already made a name for myself, so I just used my name and added Multimedia Services afterwards.

I think you should have at least the word web or the word design in your company name. I totally agree because, especially for web design, essential to a successful logo, web page, etc is not making the user/customer think too much. So having at least one word in there related to what you do I think would be a good idea . You can play with the other words all you want. If you don t want web or design , choose at least one closely related word like site page etc.

I would strongly recommend that you consider what search engines are looking for. The use of the keyword design in your url is going to be important. I would suggest that you do a search on Yahoo and Google to determine which companies are coming up in the results. Look at their meta tags and URL strings and see how they are doing. Oregon website business advice? -

I am starting a website doing general sales using drop shippers as sources. I live in Oregon and will be operating alone, no employees or others involved. The more I read and research, the more I have questions. Should I register a business name? LLC? Go as a DBA? I am wondering what has worked best for others, and want to avoid anything un-necessary or that puts me at any risk for higher taxes, liability, etc. Links are nice but I bet I have been there, I am trying to apply this information to my circumstance, and hope to hear from others who have started here as well. Definitely form an LLC for legal protection, you can do this yourself, forms available on the Oregon secretary of state website

Purchased Jersey on eBay and packaging damaged? -

Hi, I purchased a Jersey through eBay and paid $10 for the shipping. When it arrived today it came in an ordinary paper envelope that had rips on both sides exposing the jersey. The jersey was a bit wet but not damaged. I was just wondering if there is anything I can do? I paid through paypal so I am insured. I just think its wrong that the seller gets away with that kind of packaging. Any suggestions/previous experienced welcome. Thanks

file a complaint with paypal and tell them you want your shipping money back.

Check what the shipping specs were in the original listing, and make sure that the seller followed them. Aside from that though, if they didn t specify what type of packaging or envelope it would be sent in, this is one of those live and learn experiences. I guess just be thankful that there wasn t too much damage, and be a little more proactive with your future purchases. I know proper packaging seems like common sense...but that s not something you can always count on :(

Anything you can do about WHAT? You said yourself the item was not damaged. Just be happy with your new jersey and forget about your pointless complaint. You ordered an item, you received an item. The seller got away with nothing.

it probably isn t the Seller s fault - probably damaged in the post - BUT...the jersey is not damaged...why make such a fuss - sounds like you are making a mountain out of a molehill!!

Give them neutral feedback, telling that your package wasn t shipped well.

I think anything in retail would be risky right now. With the current downturn in the economy, competition is fierce. There are ways to earn money online which only require an hour or two per day but they require persistence, focus, and patience.A program I m doing now is free to sign up and has different components that you can join or not join if you choose. Some components are free and some aren t (those that aren t free have a free trial period). The free ones have a more limited earning capability but can be used to build capital for the ones with more substantial earning potential.
